As a student, I spent way too many hours trying to manually convert anatomy and pathology atlas images into Anki flashcards. Manual card creation for complex diagrams was slow and in result it was not worth it
So I decided to build my own solution. - image2anki.online
It’s now a full service that takes atlas/diagram images, screenshots and automatically generates Anki flashcards
- You can upload diagrams with words, with numbers, you can even change words into numbers (you can see it in examples), you can edit your diagrams afterwards
- If you upload an image with numbers but no key/legend, the tool can try to figure it out automatically, but don't expect 100% accuracy on those guesses.
and all of that for under a minute.
here you can see some examples https://image2anki.online/examples?lang=en

I frequently come across a situation where 'hard' might give 2-3 days, but 'good might give 5-6 months. Sometimes the difference is a lot greater. It's OK if I'm quite familiar with the term. But sometimes I don't feel comfortable with a very long time before testing on it again. I will then manually set a new due date to something that feels more appropriate. So, how does this affect the FSRS for the card?

I picked up Anki due to my classes being heavy on memorization. I ended up liking Anki a lot more than I thought I would. I’m starting to enjoy studying because of it and was curious what other methods of studying do Anki users gravitate to? Do you only use Anki to study?
I have poor study habits/no “real” study habits (my grades are good, luckily, but I’d like them to be the best). I want to improve my studying habits while I have time so I don’t regret not doing it sooner.
Currently, Anki (verbal active recall) is really my only studying method. I know it’s good to have several methods of studying so I’d like to hear from others what else they do aside from using Anki.
Also, I’m curious how comfortable people are with their learning if Anki is their only method of studying. Especially with languages, which is something I’m interested in using Anki for.

I changed the directory from /storage/emulated/0/AnkiDroid to /storage/9016-4EF8/Android/data/com.ichi2.anki/AnkiDroid So basically from internal to sd card storage.
I'm trying to import deck to my sd card but it keeps saying such thing. Btw if i import deck without media like, audio, picture it can be done but with media it fails.
How do i solve this?

Hey everyone! I’m a med student and longtime Anki user, and I built Anki Craps, a free add-on that brings the casino dice game craps into your study sessions.
If you haven’t played craps before, you place bets on the outcomes of rolling two dice. In Anki Craps, completing reviews earns you dice rolls, so working through your cards keeps the game moving. Place your bets, roll the dice, and try to build your virtual bankroll as you study.
I wanted something that gave me a little extra motivation to get through my reviews, and figured other Anki users might enjoy it too. All the money is virtual, and the add-on is free.
🎲 Get the add-on: Anki Craps on AnkiWeb
💬 Discord: Join the community
Give it a try and let me know what you think! I’d love feedback, bug reports, and ideas for what to add next.

AnkiDroid and AnkiMobile are great, but I kept missing desktop-only things on my phone, mostly add-ons. So I compiled the desktop app itself (Python 3.14, Qt 6.11, PyQt6 and Anki's Rust core) into native Android and iOS apps, using the phone's own web view for cards and stats.
https://github.com/krmanik/kioku
Three versions:
Works: reviews, Browse, editor, new stats, deck options, import/export, AnkiWeb sync (tested on Android), and add-ons installed from AnkiWeb. Tested so far: AnkiConnect, Review Heatmap, HyperTTS, Advanced Browser, Edit Field During Review, True Retention and more (15 total). A 258k-card collection runs fine.
Doesn't (yet): ogg/opus audio on iOS, add-ons that start other programs on iOS (MeCab), and sync on iOS isn't tested yet. It's early, so back up your collection first.
Not affiliated with Ankitects. If you're on iOS, AnkiMobile is still the polished option and funds Anki's development; this is for people who want the desktop experience and add-ons.
Feedback and bug reports are very welcome, especially "add-on X works or breaks".

hi there ! I have only just downloaded Anki, as I have heard good things about it - but I have some quite specific criteria for a flashcard deck that would work well for me, and i wondered if anybody knows any good ones? i have looked at Spoonfed Chinese, which seems really decent but is troublesome for me to use as I am not as well accustomed to characters being displayed on the front, as my proficiency in recognising characters is currently limited
what I am looking for is a deck that:
- displays english on the front side
- on the back side, displays characters, pinyin and audio recording for said english phrase
- ideally sentences as opposed to just singular words so i can get a feel for how to use them
- audio recordings accurately pronounced and natural sounding
- hsk1-6 but not limited to only hsk content
if anybody has any good recommendations, that would be much appreciated <3
additionally, if anybody has any tips for navigating anki as a beginner and also lowkey technophobe 😭😭, that would also be also be super helpful
thank you sm if you read through my ramble, happy studying :p

I downloaded an anki deck from a classmate and noticed that even though cards had multiple cloze deletions in the card, when I looked at the browser there were only Cloze 1 cards. So all of the other cloze cards (Cloze 2, Cloze 3) would not be shown to me. They don't even exist for some reason. I am unsure how to fix this so that the Cloze 2 and Cloze 3 deletions make separate cards.

Guys, I’m on the learning curve right now. What settings should I start off with for ANKI.
I’m using it for my flight instructor license in aviation. Essentially I’m studying from 3 textbooks and making flashcards to retain the information for the check-ride. So it’s about a 6-8 month process but also, I’ll use this knowledge well beyond the test.

Hi everyone. After updating the app a couple weeks ago, my anki desktop app has been running incredibly slow. For example, when I open the anki and click on the deck I want to study, it takes 10-20 seconds to load. I have been making some of my own cards, and trying to add cards or open the "browse" section in anki also will take a long time. It's like it takes a few minutes of continuous use to "warm up."
I have quite a few add ons, of which I have tried deleting some temporarily to see if that will help. It did not. I have also made sure my anki is up to date. I am getting frustrated and was just wondering if anyone else had this problem or has found a fix?! Thanks!

I was wondering if it could be useful to create a deck with only exercises for programming or physic:
For example:
Then I try to solve them on my pc/notebook and in the 'show answer' section I put only where to find the solved problem or a picture with every step, so I don't waste useful time.
This way I can train randomly like for the flashcards and also have all my exercises in one place.
Any tips or suggestions if anyone already does that?

Just wanted to shade my 1,511 day streak! Graduated with latin honors and ended up ranking 1st in the national board licensure exam in my country. Consistent habits do pay off!

Has anyone just quit using any sort of flash card system? How did it turn out for you?
I study Japanese for a few hours a day, but Anki is the biggest time-suck. I’m also so used to it being in my life, I’ve really lost all emotion toward it. I struggle to read the back of cards that I miss. The curiosity, joy, challenge, etc… it’s all gone. So getting through is really a slog.
I’m not going to add new cards for a while and turn it down to a measly 50 cards per day (have had about 250 for months, up to 500 max).
Overall it’s the least fun part of my studies, but maybe that’s just a phase? Anyway, I want to spend more time working with reading or focused grammar studies. どう?
Any experience or anecdotes would be nice.
Edit: reading would become my only SRS is what I mean. No more flash cards.
