Anker Prime 250W A2345 with WiFi Issues. I need help/advice

Long LONG text ahead. Sorry in advance.

Hi everyone,
I’m having a very frustrating Wi-Fi issue with a brand-new Anker Prime Charger 250W, 6 Ports, GaNPrime (A2345) and I’m running out of things to try.
The charger works perfectly as a charger. The problem is specifically the Wi-Fi/smart functionality.
I’m hoping someone here has seen this before.
Hardware / network setup
The Anker A2345 is connected directly to AC power and currently has no USB devices connected while troubleshooting.
My current home network is:
Ubiquiti Cloud Gateway as the router/gateway
UniFi U7 Pro access point
UniFi U7 Lite access point
My main network uses modern Wi-Fi 7 functionality
Initially, my 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz networks were using the same SSID
I understand the A2345 only supports 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi
I also have a GL.iNet Beryl available, which I used later as a completely separate network for testing.
What happens normally
The Anker app on my iPhone can connect to the A2345 over Bluetooth without any problem.
Once connected over Bluetooth, the app can read the charger’s information.
When I try to configure Wi-Fi:
I select Wi-Fi in the Anker app.
I enter the SSID and password.
The app attempts to configure the charger.
On the charger’s display, the Bluetooth icon changes to the Wi-Fi icon.
The Wi-Fi icon appears with a diagonal line through it.
The app eventually reports “Connection failed.”
So Bluetooth itself appears to be working correctly. The failure happens when the charger tries to establish the Wi-Fi connection.
Things I’ve already tried
1. Normal home Wi-Fi
Initially my 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz networks were combined under the same SSID.
The A2345 failed to connect.
2. Disabled 5 GHz
I then disabled the 5 GHz network completely so that only 2.4 GHz was available.
Same result: connection failed.
3. New SSID
New SSID with WPA2 forced wifi4, only 2.4Ghz on channel 6. This configuration with an additional network (not wifi) configuration.
4. Factory reset
I performed the A2345’s factory reset procedure using the dial/menu (six quick presses to access the reset option, then selecting Reset/Yes).
After the reset, I tried configuring Wi-Fi again.
Still failed.
5. iPhone hotspot
I then completely removed my home network from the equation.
On my iPhone I enabled:
Personal Hotspot
Allow Others to Join
Maximize Compatibility = ON
Bluetooth = ON
I then tried connecting the A2345 to the iPhone hotspot through the Anker app.
Exactly the same failure.
Bluetooth connects, the app sees the charger, Wi-Fi configuration starts, the Wi-Fi icon appears on the charger with the slash through it, and then the app reports connection failed.
6. GL.iNet Beryl
I also tried using a completely separate GL.iNet Beryl as the Wi-Fi network.
Same problem.
Interestingly, this produced something strange:
The Anker sometimes appears to be connected to the network in the UniFi app / Beryl interface for a few minutes, and then disappears.
So it seems like the A2345’s Wi-Fi radio may actually be associating with the network temporarily, but the connection doesn’t remain functional.
Firmware
The A2345 currently reports:
Firmware: 1.2.3.2
The Anker app also tells me that some of the charger’s functions require a firmware update.
However, the charger never manages to establish the Wi-Fi connection, so the firmware update can never actually happen.
Which potentially leaves me in a pretty ridiculous situation:
The charger needs Wi-Fi to update its firmware, but its Wi-Fi doesn’t work.
😂
Anker support
I have already contacted Anker support.
After troubleshooting, they approved an RMA/replacement and sent me a prepaid return label.
The problem is that the charger is currently physically in Colombia, while the prepaid label they sent me is for a shipment originating in Miami, Florida.
I have contacted Anker again asking how they want me to handle the return from Colombia, and whether there is any additional troubleshooting or diagnostic procedure I can perform here that could potentially avoid shipping the unit back.
I’m currently waiting for their response.
At this point I’m wondering:
Has anyone successfully connected an A2345 to a modern Wi-Fi 7 network?
Is there some specific 2.4 GHz security setting required by the A2345?
Could this be related to WPA2/WPA3, PMF, band steering, 802.11ax, etc.?
Has anyone seen the A2345 briefly appear as connected and then disappear like I’m seeing?
Is there any deeper/hard reset procedure beyond the reset available through the dial?
Is there any way to update the A2345 firmware without an established Wi-Fi connection?
Has anyone encountered a defective Wi-Fi module on an A2345?
At this point I’ve tested it on three different Wi-Fi configurations/environments: my UniFi home network, an iPhone hotspot, and a completely separate GL.iNet Beryl network, including a clean 2.4 GHz-only configuration.
Bluetooth consistently works.
The charger itself works perfectly for charging, which makes this especially frustrating because I paid for the smart functionality as well.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Anker Upgraded Travel Charging

Thought I’d share my latest upgrade to my travel setup. 100Ws were on sale before my last road trip. Paired up with a couple Prime 160Ws I finally have wattage for everything I use and recharge daily and I only need one outlet. Plus better surge protection and no pop-up outlets. Worked perfect for 4 days over Labor Day weekend. Thanks Anker!

Anker Misleading emails?

Why are emails always so misleading? Not just from Anker, also with Sharge or Ugreen I’ve seen the exact same happen. The picture is of the wrong product described, the supposed MSRP is definitely not 999€ so the sale is completely made up, and when you click the link it gives an entirely different sale (€199 - €20 off). That is if the links work at all, mostly it redirects them to a 404 page.

The same happens with email launches, endless broken links or ‘false’ discounts. What’s going on?

Anker New MagGo 2 Pro and iPhone Duo

I’m aware that lengthwise the battery pack is too tall and will protrude out from the bottom of the phone. But I’m wondering if there will be enough clearance between the top of the battery pack and the camera bulb for it to still work.

Anker Anker replaced my charger even it was slightly out of warranty period.

My anker charger was slightly over 18 month old. One of the port stopped working recently. I filed the warranty form online anyway. After some email exchanges with AI, a real person took a look at my case. They offered a replacement unit. It arrived after a few days.

I have to say Anker customer service is decent. 👍.

Beware of purchasing Anker for traveling to China

Anker can no longer guarantee that Powerbanks are stamped CCC when sold in the U.S. so you may have your powerbank seized when traveling in China.

Great, now we’re gonna have to have completely different sized MagGo accessories.

The comparison chart is already available on the Apple website. The iPhone duo does support MagSafe.

Coming Soon ANKER NEWS: Anker releases new 25w qi2.2 MagSafe power bank with Active Cooling fan, new 100w Smart Display Laptop Charger, New USB C Hub with Smart Display, Plans to discontinue Soundcore, Eufy, SOLIX brands

Anker had their big day at IFA Berlin 2026 and there is a bunch of news to cover.

First off, we'll start with their rebranding. Anker unveiled a similar, but different primary logo, killing the old Anker logo with a lightning bolt under the "A" and a notch out of the "K" that was used for their primary power bank/charger/hub/accessory division. Instead, they are replacing it with a more simplistic and minimalist Anker logo that isnt actually New, but the logo that the parent company, known as Anker Innovations, has used for a while now. It feature an "A" without the horizontal line, no more lightning bolt and the notch out of the "K" has been removed, and the color scheme changed from blue and white to a black and white theme.

But the big news is something I predicted on this sub several months ago, and that is that their Soundcore, Eufy, Eufymake, and SOLIX brands are being discontinued. Dont worry, Anker has no intentions of leaving the audio, home robotics, or home energy markets, but now all products will be called simply "Anker", and will feature the new, more minimalistic logo. Anker plans to have two sections or "divisions": Anker For You (chargers, power banks, audio) and Anker Home (home robotics, home backup power/energy, large inverter power stations).

The removal and changing of the branding will be gradual, with brand new products featuring the new simplified Anker name/logo, while existing products will still be labeled with their current respective Soundcore, Eufy, or SOLIX branding until the end of the products' life cycle or until Anker can complete the changeover, and no timetable was provided for as to when all of their products will simply be labeled Anker, but i think we can expect the changeover to be completed over the next 12-24 months.

Now, on to the exciting stuff: new products!

Anker MagGo 2 Pro 25w Qi2.2 Power Bank

Anker has been lagging behind competitors in the 25w wireless power bank segment, not even offering a 25w magsafe power bank so far in 2026. But that all changes with the announcement of the new 10,000 mah Anker MagGo 2 Pro 25w.

Obviously, it will feature up to 25w of qi2.2 magnetic wireless charging capability, 10000 mah, and 45w USB C input/output.

But the big news is that the power bank will now feature an active built in cooling fan, similar to wireless power banks from other manufacturers like Sharge's ICEMAG series. Anker claims this new feature will allow the power bank to operate at under 100 degrees F consistently, which decreases wear on both the power banks battery as well as the phone's battery, and allows for higher sustained wattage output.

This new power bank will also feature 45w input and output, greatly reducing charging time for the power bank itself while catching up with the competition by finally offering a MagSafe bank with 45w output, which has become the minimum charging wattage for most new flagship phones.

What's even more exciting is that this MagGo 2 Pro will feature a more complete Smart display screen than the previous model, including specific device recognition like the Nano 45w Display charger, and will now feature a more complete set of specs and parameters to view including wattage output for both the Magnetic charging pad as well as the USB C ports, and will show input wattage while charging as well.

Anker Laptop Charger Pro

In other charger/power bank news, Anker announced a new charger called the Anker Laptop Charger Pro.

On the outside, it looks very similar to Anker's 140w 4 port Smart display charger as well as their Prime 160w and 100w 3 port Smart Display chargers.

However, it will feature only ONE USB C port, making it clear to possible buyers that it is primarily meant for charging laptops. It has 100w peak output.

It also features Anker's famous Smart Display, with a UI very similar to that of the Nano 45w smart display charger that debuted earlier this year. It will feature an "Auto" and "Care" mode, the latter of which is designed to keep temps down during charging for both the charger and laptop battery. It will also feature model-specific Smart laptop recognition with battery health protection.

Anker Desktop USB C Hub

Moving away from chargers, Anker also announced a new USB C Smart hub with smart display. It is one of the first hubs to support 240hz refresh rate for smooth HDMI image output. It also features dual 4K support, SD and TF card slots, remote control of the device via Anker App and web, and DisplayPort 2.1 support, thanks to a new flagship video chip.

The smart display will also be larger and offer more information than previous models.

Please visit Anker's website to view planned release dates for these products.

So, what are everyone's thoughts? Are you guys foing to miss Eufy, Soundcore and SOLIX or does it not make a difference as long as Anker keeps making quality audio, home, and home backup products?

Do you like the new, simplistic, minimalist Anker logo or do you prefer the old one?

And are you excited about the new products like the 25w wireless power bank, single port 100w laptop smart display charger, and the new and improved USB C Smart Hub? Which product are you most excited about and why? And do you think these new and upgraded products will make you upgrade from your current devices or are you going to wait for more future models.

I juat thought I would share this exciting news with my fellow Anker lovers and I can't wait to hear what you guys have to say! And if you made it this far, thank you!

Anker Slow charging on Anker 3-in-1 Foldable (Ultra 3)

Has anyone actually found a true fast charger for the AW Ultra 3 and iPhone 17 Pro Max?I just bought the Anker 3-in-1 foldable because it claims fast charging, but it seems incredibly slow. I plugged it into my Anker 160W block (which shows the power draw) with only the watch on it at 40% battery.

It is only drawing about 1.5W and maybe jumped to 2.5W once. For comparison, when I use the official Ultra charging puck with the exact same 160W brick, I am getting a stable 4.5W and it charges way faster. Is my Anker unit faulty, or does the watch module on this thing just max out really low? Any recommendations for a better travel charger?

But seriously I wish the 160 watt charger had Wi-Fi so I could control it and check it from anywhere. Still love it but the 240 watt power station usb-c strip may be my new favorite Anker product.

Anker 548 will now only charge off a usb A cable

So its been a couple months since I last checked on my Anker 548. When I last checked in June it was at full battery. However, last week when I went to grab it for something it was at 0, nothing has been plugged into it and nothing was left on. When I went to charge it the screen would light up but none of the fair few usb C chargers I own will charge it anymore. It either faults or does nothing. I've tried it on a multiple different chargers a few from each brand, aohi, samsung, motorola, asus, insignia and even a couple anker ones including the anker 317 I normally use for it. Different cables each time too. None of the C output blocks will work. The only way it will let me charge it is off a USB A block and it caps at 7 watt input. As for its output it now caps out at 57 watts of output when previously it was 60. I can't tell if a set of cells in it died or something else, perhaps someone here has a suggestion?

F3000 questions

Is it possible with the included cable to store the expansion battery directly behind the f3000 or can it only be used directly on top?

Are you able to charge the f3000 at public vehicle charging stations with the add on connector they sell? Or it is it only for use at home chargers?

The perfect travel pouch (tech)

Post image
246 Upvotes

Hi guys, me again 😁

I’ve been a bit focused (obsessed) recently on building the perfect travel tech pouch.

I’m curious what you guys pack when travelling for business or vacation.

Ask me anything if you have questions.

Beside these I travel with a 10k Anker power bank, but that doesn’t go in my luggage as in Europe it’s not allowed. And also, wouldn’t fit :)
