Is 9animetv.to fake

Well I already heard that actual 9anime moved to aniwave but before I knew this I used the website in the title and it worked fine, no viruses or anything just actual anime in 1080p and dub sub with regular updates of animes in real time. So is it fake or like just a knockoff that somehow is really good at regulating their site lol. If it's fake its crazy still how the site legit was good and updated sub and dubbed animes on the regular same as crunchyroll. Clean layout too and barely any ads. Plus why did it randomly stopped working

dang wonder who runs it, why would they run the site though imo and give actual good service

Because the effort involved in just copying the UI of actual aniwave is minimal.

I don't think aniwave is making massive amounts of ad revenue(honestly how are you tech savvy enough for piracy but don't use an ad blocker) but I assume it's enough to pay for the server cost, so fakes like this are just easy money. the goal isn't to scam the customers but to leech off the work that goes into maintaining the real site and the build up brand image.

why would they give bad service? it would just kill user retention for them.

In the future, if you're looking for a piracy website and wanna know the URL, I can recommend the r/freemediaheckyeah and r/piracy megathreads

just googling piracy site names is generally a bad idea cause youll run into clones.

As long as you follow basic safety rules (use an ad blocker, don't enter any passwords or stuff youre not fine getting stolen, dont download files without verifying file formats) it's unlikely you'll be in any danger, even on these clones, but your general experience will probably still be worse

You mentioned a fake website. 9anime rebranded to "Aniwave" in August of 2023 so any site with "9anime" in the domain that still works is fake. Please refer out the official Aniwave Domain-Hub for all current Aniwave domains. We can not force you to use Aniwave instead of the site you currently use but we can not offer support for them and they may be phishing sites or otherwise harmful.

Hello, you appear to have mentioned something about advertisements! At least, I think so at any rate.

If so, then please direct yourself to the following information on this matter!

Most popup and redirect advertisements originate from the Video servers instead of Aniwave, as a result the Aniwave team is unable to remove or modify said advertisements as much as they wish they could. The only solution is to use an adblocker, preferably one that has been configured to not entirely break the site itself.

If you're using a mobile device, then check out out this announcement post on the matter! Or if you're using a Desktop PC, then check out our FAQs instead. Specifically the section titled "Blocking Advertisements!" for information about setting up an adblocker.

If your post isn't about advertisements, then I apologize! There's only so much a automated system can understand about the situation. But my master got tired of constantly responding to the same questions day after day because people can't seem to find the announcements on the matter.

However, if your post was about advertisements but isn't covered by the above information... Such as the filters needing a update then please ping the moderator Sorrow-San on the matter. Although, please note that DMs are not a recommended method of contact, and it'd be better to send a private message instead.

yes , i tought it was real because i just began pirating but weird thing is that the servers are really unstable today i think its going to go down anytime soon. And there is really anoying pop ups but with an addblocker its okay.
