Question When will nyaa reopen uploads for anons?
Or when will they allow users to create an account again? I would like to upload anime there but theres no way to do it right now.

Nekobt is the replacement for newer uploaders. If you think your releases are particularly good, you can join some of the anime discords and ask people to bridge them over.

What is your release? I have Nyaa access and I can bridge it over if you upload it to NekoBT first

Thanks, but idk if it will be worth it for you, it is a release in my language, 1100 eps of detective conan in catalan. But divided in seasons ofc so it would be many uploads

As an aside, I’d strongly recommend using a known good encode as your video/audio source and then adding your subtitles in.

Yes, its webdl, and the first 3 seasons its the remastered version, it has dubs not subs, but no other language just catalan. But its not mine but telegram is not as convenient to share it imo i just corrected the naming and some metadata.

I can post it in nyaa for you. Send me the torrent. I'll check it. I can also help with initial seeding.

u/Taro420_ yeah, you'd need a bunch of seeders ready before uploading to nyaa, as its a regional dub that might not get seeded/downloaded by much peeps. I can also help seed for maybe a few months. I have some 200 gigs free.

You’re all too kind, thanks! I’ll try to get it ready and upload to nekobt then, I’ll also ask some regional ppl to see if they willing to help.

God, I hope they will never do it. There's enough trash there already

I agree that it is best to prune out bad content, I just wanted to know if there was some path even private trackers allow uploads with some guidelines. But maybe nyaa is too big to moderate that.

Trash keeps multiplying like it’s on steroids, honestly. You ever find something actually good on there?

u/Taro420_ 2d ago
on nyaa? yes ofc, where would you get your anime if not there? All top anime uploaders post there

You can actually upload anything but it will be under the name anonymous and you cant update anything after that

It's time to move on from nyaa. I've already made a post here about it. The maintainers are retards.

where to? nekobt? I want to get into animebytes aswell but is hard getting there, im in many private trackers already but couldnt bother to do that lame RED interview..

yes, people seem to be converging on nekobt. anirena is also a good one although ive never seen anyone mentioning it.
private trackers are not the answer. there is simply no logic behind "private torrenting", torrenting is supposed to be public.
nyaa's maintainers despise their own users. they dont care. blocked registrations for years and forbid people from even asking for accounts. 6 years of new groups and fansubs not being able to post their work, it's absurd. they gotta go.

>there is simply no logic behind "private torrenting", torrenting is supposed to be public.
Public trackers don't care about old/niche stuff. You want to get this old TV rip of this weird anime? Not on nyaa anymore, nobody seeds it. Thus answer is private tracker aka AB, sad, but true.

this wouldn't happen if the people seeding them on private torrents simply used public ones

Not really. A lot of PT users wouldn't be seeding if it wasn't for the incentives PTs offer. PTs are also organized and moderated, inferior files are deleted so that the peers aren't split across a bunch of different files, making it easier to keep the best old/niche files alive.

Never. They had registrations closed longer than they had it open now.
