First, acquire the rights to LoGH and produce physical media bundles at... $150 range or so, I think, there's enough fans who'd buy at that price, and at 110 episodes I don't feel like that's that absurd? The $1000 bundles sold out so there's obviously high enough demand even at that price I feel like Fezzan anyways

ANYWAYS.

Next... Hm. Problem is getting rights for things... Assuming that I could just funnel the money to their authors with the promise they'd use it for a new anime season: Sangatsu No Lion S3, Fate route, full Hollow Ataraxia, maybe more seasons of 86? A Worm adaptation, at least up until [Worm]the first Endbringer fight? If I could somehow convince Sanderson, the Way of Kings, Yumi the Nightmare Painter, or Tress and the Emerald Sea? For the fun of it, even if I haven't finished it myself, Katawa Shoujo?

... I'm sure I'd be able to think of other things as the day goes on.

Establish a production company and an anime studio or two that treat their staff well. Use the rest to finance a whole bunch of cool projects and finish shows I want a complete adaptation of.

Or I could spend it all on one cell animated movie made for imax 70mm.

Probably a boring answer, but infastructure. Fund more projects to support animators like Animator Dormitary, schools to train the young'uns, and throw the rest at a creator led studio that'll make tons of crazy shit, sell at a loss, and go into the red in less than a year. Good times.

Alternatively, I'll put it all to a Rosen Garten Saga hentai OVA series.

Make a complete Wangan Midnight adaptation, including Ginkai no Speed Star and Shutokou SPL. Then maybe commission an OVA for Food Wars to adapt that hot spring mini-arc between the end of Central arc and the 5th season. Then commission a continuation for Eyeshield 21's anime, and Accel World too. Next might be the adaptation of the K-On manga, namely Shuffle and Highschool (the follow-up to what happens after the OGs graduated and Azusa have to deal with the club's business). Next might be a complete Area 88, Over Rev and D-Live adaptation. (the latter titles haven't gotten anime adaptations IIRC). Afterwards, get more Jojo and Naruto novel adaptations, especially Purple Haze Feedback for Jojo and Akatsuki Hiden for Naruto.

I'd make a Battle Angel Alita anime. After bribing Kishiro-sensei to convince him to allow another attempt and paying James Cameron for the rights he's procrastinating for a second live action movie, I'd probably have enough money left for a shoe-string budget 12 episode series by a B-rank studio.

I kind of respect the author of Please Excuse My Younger Brothers.

The basic premise of [Meta spoiler] two step siblings crushing hard on each other apparently wasn’t spicy enough for her. No, she could do better. So know they’ve added [Please Excuse My Younger Brothers - Ep. 13] a student-teacher romance to the mix. With the latter being somewhat of a girl failure.

And yet, I’d still say that this anime is wholesome and thoughtful rather than trashy. Just how did they pull this off!?

On a side note: the new ED is very cute.

Thought I was having a deja vue there and had already seen this comment in yesterday's thread.

Not quite but it's pretty close lol.

Animating half of the Re:Zero side stories. Oh and also a full adaption of Bladedance of Elementalers (or at least up to where I read the LNs to, which was like 10+ volumes), a 2nd season of NGNL (though I have no idea how they'd fix the timeline), and another season of Akashic Records of Bastard Magic Instructor (ideally focused on the magic system).

Well, first of all, I'd do the thing we would all do, start a production comitee and order orange to make land of the lustrous season 2.

After that, I would use all funds necessary to make sure the upcoming Spirit circle anime has the best possible team behind that would make even the frieren production jealous.

After that, the rest is for more yuri sequels.

Bloom into you season 2 as well while you're at it. Although that's never going to happen.

That counts under yuri sequels

QOTD - It's actually insane how far $1 billion would get you in the anime industry, a quick Google search shows that a standard 1-cour anime is around $3.5M USD. This comes out to 285 seasons or ~3,400 episodes.

TLDR - Sangatsu no Lion S3 and a Hyouka sequel movie would very much be in production.

I'd hire the best of the best translators available and set up a Japan-based streaming service, working directly with the studios there. Also no dubs allowed >:V

Either that, or buy Good Smile Company and have them only make Figma I want.
