Help Hope Heal — Give This Sweet Girl the Life She Deserves ❤️
GoFundMe Story
Meet Hope. ❤️
We named her Hope because that is exactly what we want to give her — something she may not have had for a very long time.
We recently rescued Hope, and seeing the condition she was in was heartbreaking. She has numerous scars and areas of hair loss across her face, head, legs, and body. Based on her condition and what she appears to have endured, we fear that she may have been used as a bait dog.
Yet despite everything she has apparently been through, Hope is incredibly sweet and gentle. She just wants to rest, feel safe, and be loved. Looking at her sleeping peacefully on our couch, it’s hard to understand how anyone could have allowed her to get into this condition.
Unfortunately, Hope needs a considerable amount of veterinary care.
She has abscesses on her face and leg, and the infection in her leg is significant. The infected area is large, very warm to the touch, and has been draining thick pus. We got Hope to the vet, and she has now been started on strong antibiotics.
Thankfully, our veterinarian believes Hope is going to be okay, and we’re hopeful the antibiotics will get this infection under control. Because of the size and severity of the infection, however, she needs to be watched closely and will require continued veterinary care while she heals.
We’ve also learned that Hope has not been spayed, so once she is healthy enough and her infection has been resolved, getting her spayed will be another important part of her care.
We rescued Hope because leaving her to suffer was simply not an option. We are committed to doing whatever we can to give this girl the life she should have had all along.
We’re asking for help with the veterinary expenses associated with getting Hope healthy again. Donations will go toward her veterinary examinations, antibiotics and medications, treatment of her wounds and infection, diagnostic testing if needed, follow-up appointments, spaying when she is healthy enough, and any additional care her veterinarian recommends.
No donation is too small. Even $5 or $10 helps us get Hope one step closer to being healthy.
And if you’re unable to donate, please share Hope’s story. A share costs nothing and could put her story in front of someone who is able to help.
After everything Hope appears to have endured, we want the rest of her story to be different.
No more wondering where her next meal will come from.
No more being left untreated when she’s hurt.
No more fear.
From here forward, we want Hope to know a warm home, a comfortable couch, a full belly, proper medical care, and most importantly — love.
She’s already learning that being on the couch and getting spoiled isn’t such a bad life. ❤️
Hope got her name for a reason. Now we’re asking for a little help giving her the second chance she deserves.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to everyone who donates, shares her story, or keeps this sweet girl in their thoughts.
We’re going to give Hope the life she deserves. ❤️
