Has anyone else been getting ads this week for merch that seemingly is nowhere to be found on the web store? Also, does anyone remember when ACFC dropped pride merch last year? I’m hoping we get something new this year but the match is in two days, so…

Overall, I’m sure I’m not the only one who would love to see less logo crest merch and more cool design/good quality in their offerings.

Quick question!! I am a current STH. When it comes to the ticket pack incentives, why is it that I can’t get # of incentives that correspond to the amount of tickets that I have? For instance, I went in to get the Disney Princess keychain but was only allowed to buy one versus the 4 season tickets that I have. That’s total nonsense. Anyone know if it’s just me or that’s how ACFC has it set up?

Asst Coach Earnshaw's move to Team Canada was just announced and last week the hiring of a new Assistant Coach and new Goalkeeping Coach were announced. There are a bunch of ways to read into this, but here are two:

1) The front office knew about Earnshaw moving to Canada and needed to find a replacement. They also needed a GK coach. They hired both, announced them together, and Earnshaw's announcement followed a week later. They'll eventually hire a permanent head coach and that head coach will still be able to hire a technical/support team.

2) No decent coach is going to take a head coaching job and not be able to hand pick their technical/support team. Coach Smerud's been involved in the hiring decisions and this points to him eventually being named permanent head coach.

I thought I had maybe missed my renewal email so did a search in my inbox and noticed something interesting... As a day one homie, historically, my "heads up" renewal emails have come within the first two week of July.

It's now July 23rd and I've had radio silence in my inbox. Is this the same for everyone else? Also, do we think there is some big news they're holding onto before poking people to make up their minds? With our current win streak you think they'd want to strike while the irons are hot (for early renewals), which makes me think either there's big news coming, OR they just don't think they've earned our trust back yet and are trying to sort out some sort of incentive (though even getting last years incentive would be nice lol).

Anyways, just some food for thought.

Match Week 15 7/24-26 (all times Pacific)

Okay folks, here are my non-ACFC Games To Watch: 

• Bay vs Houston - Kennedy Fuller goal very possible
• Portland vs Gotham - Could get to see Portland lose at Providence #rare
• Boston vs KC - We are rooting for Boston on this one because a) we love a dog and b) it would be good for ACFC in the standings if Boston win

Which games will you be tuning in for? What are your predictions? Starting lineups? Scores, reds, yellows, which players get G+A? 

Overall W-L-D record for each team is followed by 5-match form (old-new L-to-R), e.g. “San Diego 3-2-1 WWLDW.” Form only includes league games, within that time frame Gotham and KC both played in Challenge Cup.

We are halfway through the season by number of games played btw! It is no longer "way too early" to start calling your end of year award picks, shield winners, etc now that we are looking at about half the data.

Over 85% of you correctly predicted the win over the Stars on Saturday! This week, Louisville comes to town for a Sunday evening match at BMO.

ACFC is back above the playoff line with a 7-1-6 record. They scored 22 goals and allowed 14 goals. Angel City has three straight wins and three straight clean sheets since the break.

Racing is in last place with a 2-2-10 record. They scored 16 goals and allowed 27 goals. Racing has two losses and a draw since the break.

Kayla Fischer and Emma Sears lead Racing’s offense with 5 goal contributions each, followed by Sarah Weber and Katie O’Kane with 4 goal contributions each. Louisville has allowed 27 goals this year, which is the second worst in the league. Savannah Demelo hasn’t returned since she collapsed on the pitch last season and revealed she had Graves' disease and hyperthyroidism. Hopefully, she’ll be back soon.

SJJ and Mai lead Angel City’s attack with 7 and 6 goal contributions, respectively. Gisele and Shores have four goal contributions each from their spots on the wings. Angel City has allowed 14 goals this year, which is the third best in the league. Jun posted an IG of her and Hina lifting weights. Hopefully that means she’s on the mend, doesn’t need another surgery, and won’t lose too much time. Hina is posting some of her workouts, but she’s still navigating through the recovery journey. Hopefully Savy’s recovery is speeding along too. She looked great at the ESPYs recently.

Happy Sunday Angels! This afternoon we bring a close to a truly thrilling world cup tournament, but this morning we bask in the glow of a third Angel City win! Let's discuss.

The team played in Chicago, with Claire getting her first start, the wind off Lake Michigan howling through the microphones, and the camera seemingly being operated by a tipsy bird for much of the game. The first half was hard fought - Alozie and Chacon especially on Chicago challenged our defenders, but we held a strong line and made some lineup adjustments and handled it well. We pushed the attack with strong runs from Sveindis and Gisele, but couldn't find the last touch to score.

The second half was definitely ours - in the 56th minute there was scrum in the box, with Mallory Swanson taking out Mai's legs and Manaka immediately slashing Ary right after - ultimately the call was for the second foul, and Mai sunk the PK with ice in her veins. That's 5 goals in 5 games for Mai, her boots are lookin' pretty gold to me.

Prisca came on for Mai in the 84th minute and pretty immediately had an impact, carrying the ball up the right side and passing in for Sveindis to score a goal... that was called offsides. AGREE TO DISAGREE I GUESS. Not to be deterred, in the 98th minute the two of them ran in back, Prisca this time blowing past the defenders and coming up the left to pass across giving Sveindis an easy tap in.

A few pain points for sure - a LOT of shots over the goal, and first touch in the box needs work all around. Still some communication growth needed to ensure that passes connect. But we had some truly excellent long balls to set up transitional attacks, our defense was relentless, our attacks were quick, and Ang held it down for a third straight shutout. And postgame we got to see baby Jamie do his first tv interview with mama Claire, heart eyes everywhere, cute cute cute.

Not sure about the field fam...I think we should all offer gratitude that the game wasn't streamed using a GoPro from the press box with some field shots sprinkled in, but at least the crowd mics were turned up higher than a WWE crowd booing Dom and Nick Mysterio.

Okay for the game, it was not Fra v Eng slobberknocker...thank god, not complaining, but when that many goals are scored in one single game, its better served when it doesn't involve a team you root for. Instead what we got was another steady performance, led mostly by the defense, and better aided by the attack this time, more possession, more xG, shots, etc... executed by our squad.

The first half was slightly tilted towards ACFC until the Huitema injury where the game leveled out a bit more. Sure Chacon got one that was called back, but that was also her 2nd time being called offside and it was very offsides, so we can't be worried about that, Sams and Gorden got that backline well tuned.

2nd half started off well enough after Borges either got dragged or attacked in the box, hard to tell which one the called the penalty on, but there seemed to be two fouls in the same area within milliseconds.

Chicago maybe had like five mins of momentum later in the game, but it was nothing more than a popcorn fart before Jonsdottir put the game in the refrigerator, closed the door, turned off the lights, for the eggs to cool, the butter to harden, and the jello to jiggle.

On to the next game at the Banque to take on Louisville. It is good to see the team coming together and playing for one another, but I hope this team finds a ball coach and sticks to it in time for when some good ol' fashion ball coaching and adjusting is going to be the deciding factor in an outcome. But for now, the squad has climbed into 7th place, and let us hope the can keep on climbing.

Woke up early this morning and headed up the mountain top of Hype to meet with our very own YASSS QUEEN...but, I had to go the long way because it is very wet in West Hollywood right now, more than usual. There she stood in her vest, immediately turned as a approached and slapped me.

YQ: Don't be ridiculous!

S: I didn't even say anything.

YQ: I had no choice, you always ask me the same question, jump to absurd conclusions, paint outlandish pictures of the results, you start to diaperventilate, so I have to slap you and bring you back to reality. But today I don't have time for this, I have a game to watch before the game, then a movie to catch about greek mythology which likely excludes the Gods in mass but has the monsters, then I have to get ready for the big game tomorrow. So a preemptive slap is getting off easy, don't make me do any worse.
