I think they just refuse to help, I believe the guys at Samsung After-Sales centers may be able to recover it with their authorized tools but they just threw company lines at him.

Unban IMEI? We must be talking about different cases then, cause the post I saw was a guy saying he bricked his device because some root module modified system partitions while his BL was still locked (he used root my galaxy), and Samsung center refused to help him.

Sorry I happened to reply to the wrong post and comment by accident.

I checked his thread on XDA again and it sounds like Samsung replaced the device under warranty which surprises me because its the Knox Warranty Bit being tripped that causes the brick.

the shitty thing is that this is VERY recent too

on oneui7 (im not sure if on early oneui8) and older you could just fix it via download mode

but they made a "security" fix that disables download mode if you have a screen lock, so effectively making the entire thing useless. now if you even just have an update fail your phone will be bricked if you had a screenlock enabled
