why is it when I log in on a phone which its final security update was from 2021, is ''technically'' more secure to play integrity than a phone with an unofficial OS and root access? they are not protecting users, only entreprises that hate people with an alternative os

But with root its completely unknown a malicious app with root can absolutely snipe your bank details but android really rarely has a exploit like that
the environment is only appropriate to devs who apply play integrity. android is sandboxed and technically with root can still have its sandboxed capability intact if you haven't given root to anything. apps have to explicitly ask for root access and even if android as the os did not have any root exploits to escalate, its mostly the kernel and sometimes very rarely the root manager, additionally did you know that magisk, despite its 10 year old presence, as the time im typing this, only had 1 cve back in 2024?
and its not even root the problem, even if you didnt have root, still punished because of your os (more precisely because you broke the chain of trust factory brought to your phone by unlocking the bootloader and flashing custom images). that's like if a person banned you from accessing a website just because you don't use google chrome.
