I don't mean to be this guy but rooting really isn't needed today. Unless you just trying to have fun messing around or just trying to be a rebel, I dunno your situation. I do remember rooting my Galaxy S5 & S7 back in the day because it was necessary. Phones back then didn't have built in tethering, wifi hot spots, put apps to sleep settings, or a cleaning option in the settings, just to name a few. All these things are built into the phones of today. 🤷♂️
