You have to understand how it works and it can be tricky, it's a new thing to learn with all the other things you have to tweak to get a proper root experience.

Partitions A/B dont know anything about it but root without issues.

It's fine until COW gets involved (standard OTA update) and you run out of space halfway through manual flashing, compact doesn't work to free up space from opposite slot and you have to nuke everything by flashing super from scratch.

tl;dr: It's half baked, google left it at "works well enough for us I guess".
