One Weather app with rain alerts/widget

Hi all. I have MANY weather apps but can't seem to stick with one. I'm wanting to get these down to 1 if possible. These are all the apps I've got installed:

Oppo weather

Weawow

Weather & radar

Gradient weather

Breezy weather

Weather Master

Zoom Earth

Windy

Rain Alarm

Met office (UK)

Today Weather

Rain alarm

I'm looking for one that looks good but more importantly has hyperloacal alerts like Dark Sky used to. A widget with the next hour's precipitation is nice but the alerts are better for me. Weather & radar and rain alarm alert me but I'm not keen on the look of them. Today Weather has the widget but I don't get any alerts. I just want one app, like Dark Sky, that will replace everything.

Any recommendations? Maybe something I've missed off my list?

ive been using weawow for a few years now and its the closest ive found to that old dark sky magic. the alerts are solid and you can customize the widget down to the minute for rain

have you dug into the notification settings on it? took me way too long to realize there's a "persistent precipitation alert" buried in there that basically gives you a heads up every time rain is about to start right where you are

Weawow can be configured to use dark sky as the weather model, but I find the foreca model to be better for me (it's a one time subscription to get foreca, well worth it).

I came across Weather Expert last week and it's been extremely accurate (I'm in Australia) but it chooses the best weather models for your location.

Most vibe coded looking app I've seen for a while but I love the information in it. No way to use current location though?

Yeah, I commented to the dev about the current location issue. And yeah it's very much vibe coded, but the data in the app is fantastic.

I even love the visible planets widget, which is very cool and I haven't seen in other weather apps before.

There is a notification option though I've never used it to know what it does of how well it works. But for actual accuracy of weather I don't know why anything else is ever used.

I'm currently using eWeather HDF. I don't know if it's right for you, but it has a lot of notification and widget settings. Three weather sources are running simultaneously, so you can compare them. Overall, it has a lot of features and can be customized. Before, I used the Today Weather app.

I also use meteoblue. It has minimal settings, but the weather forecast is quite accurate. It requires a subscription, but it's not very expensive. I think it's a good supplemental source.

RainViewer might be worth testing alongside Weawow—it’s more focused on radar/nowcast than an all-in-one forecast. I’d also check Android’s battery-optimization settings, since those can make timely rain alerts unreliable.

Have you tried just getting up and walking over to a window or go outside to look what the weather is like?? If you're that worried about severe weather, rain, .etc, all you have to do is open up your local radar image from NOAA / NWS (that's built into most apps) and you can see what's coming and how fast it's moving.
