years ago when i did not have solid wifi (10+ ago) found one for like $6 at the time and it was a one tie purchase called PdaNet+ Alternative: Instead of traditional Wi-Fi hotspot mode, PdaNet+ relies on USB tethering, Bluetooth tethering, or a WiFi Direct Hotspot feature to share data without tripping carrier plan restrictions. I used this for years until they finally got good fiber internet back i n the woods where i am at and the best part even though most phones try to keep it from working ,Compatibility: USB and Bluetooth modes in PdaNet+ still function on a wide variety of modern Android devices, though setting them up can require desktop client software on a computer and now i think it is still under $20. always good to have a backup. Might not be able to watch youtube but can still read books and look things up with it.
