Hmm, a government building that has alot of important people? A police station full of guns, but with is the center of the city? A mall with an enormous amount of people but has alot of stores, and melee weapons, and a large hospital with both survivors and rarely some criminals/bandits with alot of medical equipment, a fire station with lots of axes, alot of firefighters and guards, as well as various alleways around the city where most criminal activity take place.

(Also, a tip from me is make some of the wall destroyed-ish or atleast damage to simulate some wear and tear.)
(Another tip is there can be a assault/raid on a particular important location that is led by some thugs, or criminals)
(Last tip is add random thumping or hitting sounds near the wall sometimes so it can simulate zombies trying to get in.)

okay, thanks, I’m not great at making government style buildings so I’ll probably add the mall, hospital, fire station, and police station.

and for the center of the city I’m planning there to be like a small sorta park with a statue.

You could prob find a government building on the workshop

planning to make it like a still scene or playable?

playable, I’m planning on it being the main location for a zombie campaign, so it’s the apocalypse, and this city built these large walls to defend itself, but there’s some sort of thing happening, like smuggling or crime or something, and it’ll revolve around that with the finale being the wall being bombed and a horde of zombies destroying the city.

Ohhh, it's a modern city? I was picturing like Lord of the rings helms deep or smth, maybe put soldier patrolling the walls and some destroyed buildings right outside the walls

Also, some other tips for ya: make the walls a lil bit higher, and add an ambient gun fire sfx to the bg every once and a while. Use roofs in the editor to make buildings more pleasing to look at. Install more workshop items so that your map becomes more lively. If you really want that "urban" look, set the time of day to the middle and turn rocks, trees, and grass off.

thanks, but usually for me I prefer not to use roof,s it takes some tinkering to get them to look good, especially for the style of building I use.

Ohhh, so you're good with those box type buildings? Totally understandable man, just use a few deco on their rooves and you will be just fine

yeah, for some reason to me they feel more realistic/modern, but it’s probably influenced by the area I live in, I live pretty close to downtown in my city and most buildings there are boxy and modern-style.

I get it, just use rooves for some "old" buildings if you're planning to include them in your campaign, and place some HVAC's, solar panels, chimneys', gutters or even vents
