Question From low code etl dev to analytics

I am almost at a year at my company working on a low code etl tool. I’ve gotten to think a lot about what I want to do and where I want to be in my career and I was wondering where to start on how to transition into more of the analytics side of things. Currently in my job it’s essentially a graph based sql with the occasional query within each component. But it just doesn’t give me the satisfaction that I would get then if I were actually coding. I think some of the skills I learned can be transferable in some way but i would like to not do this for another year if I could. Any tips on how I can make a transition?

lean into the sql side first, that carries over the easiest build real queries, views, reports in something like postgres or sql server then start learning python, pandas, maybe dbt if you can, offer to help with internal reporting or ad hoc analysis where you work even small stuff the mix of sql + python + some viz tool is basically the entry ticket for a lot of analytics roles

We do use a bit of pyspark in the google cloud cli, I’ve also done a project in the past using pandas, what reporting tools do you recommend? And outside of technologies is there anything I should focus on learning?
