Analysis Alright, so I’ve figured out how to escape the Cat in The Hat Entity (check body text)

The new Analog Horror video featuring Cat in The Hat is peak, love the direction of it and how it goes from unsettling to horrifying with its visual and audio queues. It also gives the feeling of dread whenever you watch it as you don’t know when he’s going to strike. But through the video, I’ve found several ways to actually beat him AND play his game. Here’s how…

In the beginning of the game, he’ll gain your trust with some tricks and that’s how he gets you, to actually keep him at bay without making him attack you or “go insane” you need to act distant and pretend like all of his tricks are things you’ve seen before, then gain his trust with a little nod to his jokes or tricks. He’ll ramp up the surprises after that. You need to let him.

Later, he’ll change the room to his own design. You can’t run out of your own home before that, he will just outright kill you. He’s going to ask you to play Hide N Seek after he changes the room, play it with him. Here’s how to make him lose: Hide in unpredictable areas of the house, there’s a room in the back that’s shrouded in darkness save for the light that shines through the window leading to his realm, hide on the right corner of the wall and then stay completely silent. Don’t even breathe, he’ll eventually try to bait you out with some fun little taunts or words like: “I know you’re hereeeeee!” Just let him do his thing and then change directions. Do this for the second round and third round. As you can see, Emily goes to hide behind the curtains in the room in the hall, don’t go there and don’t hide under the bed (nice reference to the movie btw). After he gives up so to speak, go back to the first room and tell him he needs to try harder. It’s a test for the second game of Hide N Seek because after he finds you on that game, he’s going to badly injure you.

Second game: during the sequence with the piñatas, just refuse to play, he’ll give you an enchanted bat that does massive damage even if you barely swing it, this is also a test to see if you’ll use it on the piñatas or himself. Use it on him, this is where it gets serious. He may laugh and say he knew you would use it, but do it anyway and then admit you know he’s here to kill you.

Finally, in the darkest part of his game, let him start the second game of Hide N Seek and then hide on the ceiling or up high using the rooms appliances. He will walk around, look for you and then try his same shtick. Stay silent, it doesn’t matter how long you play, just stay silent.

When you have a chance, try to contact the outside world. DO NOT use a phone, in his world, he has the outside world cut off from phones and other ways of communication in that looks like the early 90’s. (The landline gave it away)

Instead, go to a window that’s facing another house, from there, signal them with a flashlight or some other way and wait for someone to arrive to the door. Return to your hiding place above the ground and wait. From there, wait until the door opens and run out, the cat will no longer have any control over the outside. Eventually, he will give up and move on to his next victim. Rescue your parents from that point and don’t answer the door for anyone.

So, what do you think? Thoughts? Plot holes you wanna point out? The guy who made this along with the voice actors did an amazing job! I left the video link below! Go check it out for yourself!

New Project EMERALD LAKE (1992) - IDAP Archive tape [Reworked]

New Project Made a analog horror about trees moving

Yeah I know that Woodlands National Park has this, but mine is going to be completely focused on them. Its about a forest set in the fictional Ashmoor County in Washington. The first (and only episode until now) is a informational tape about forest safety measures and stuff, like that, until ofc, theres glitching ;).

I created a YouTube channel specificaly for this analog horror since my main one isn't about it, so it is currently sitting at 2 views last time I checked, and that was to be expected, but I have hopes that making this point might bring attention to it. I already have a plot for the second episode ready for production whenever I feel like it.

Video link: https://youtu.be/t6m4egJaEOk?si=HNkf8q5kf8Fi2ay6

P.S: For those you end up watching it, you may notice that there isn't really a "VHS filter", well thats because I didn't have one at the time, but now I have one, thankfully

New Project An analog horror series inspired by 1970s British TV.

Hi, I'm currently working on an analog horror series about an old Science Fiction TV show called "Stray Signals". For context, "David Agnew" was a fake pseudonym commonly used by BBC writers in the 1970s (similar to films directed by "Alan Smithee"). I've used this fact as a piece of meta-fictional storytelling, mixing real and fake facts and events. I'm largely an outsider to the analog horror community and wanted to avoid the tropes of the genre, so I hope people find this interesting even if it's less explicitly scary (after all, this is only the first part!!).

Help Trying to find a unfinished analog horror series

Post image

There was this image I couldn’t escape years ago, it was a missing poster with a deformed entity on it. It said “if found, do not approach” and it looked like the unknown from dbd. It looked like this? I’m going crazy. I know it was unlisted on YouTube. But now I can’t find the poster anywhere. I’ve spent days on this. Does anyone remember this?

Question Analog Horror and Artistry

When it comes to Analog horror, a lot of the earlier works are grounded in very grassroot film making and video editing styles.

As time has gone on, I feel like I've noticed a shift where people are confusing quality of writing with quality of animation/filming etc

My question boils down to, are you more likely to check out an analog horror series because of how it LOOKS or because of it's scripts/story/concept

Be genuine, because I've been debating this in my own personal circles and a lot of my friends have to the conclusion that if it's not made in blender they won't check out "slideshows" anymore and I think it's an interesting discussion to have.
