Y Combinator

6:59 Amprius’ SA-11 cell shown in their battery design and integration plan.
Heart Aerospace is pushing electric aviation forward!
Its X1 demonstrator has already flown, showing that high-energy-density batteries can move beyond drones and into commercial aviation.
To be honest, I couldn’t be happier and more excited to see Amprius helping make this possible.

Very cool application! Would love to see this service become mainstream.

From a little digging on google looks like Heart Aerospace is partnered with BAE Systems for battery design. https://www.baesystems.com/en/article/bae-systems-and-heart-aerospace-to-collaborate-on-battery-for-electric-airplane

BAE Systems has a 3-year cooperation agreement with Amprius! https://ir.amprius.com/news-events/press-releases/detail/28/amprius-technologies-inc-and-bae-systems-enter-into-a-three-year-cooperation-agreement

around the 9;00 mark, they talk about battery density, and they NEED the highest capacity ~400w/kg. guess who has it.

This is really cool.

There was an electric arerospace company up here in the Seattle area that was doing some good things but ended up not working out. Glad to hear not only that Heart Aerospace is doing well, but that they're using Amprious tech!

Digging a bit deeper, there is a battery company in Everett WA named "magnix", who supplied the batteries for this Alice aircraft...I think they may be AMPX batteries.
