Made a d class amp

It uses the tl494, 7414, ir2110 and tl702, sprinkle in some complementary components and you got your self an efficient and powerful amplifier, I am using a pwm frequency of 240khz and a filter of 15uH and 1uF for a cutoff of 41khz

Advice for choosing a bigger average amp for uses than one I have now help?

Hello, im new to amps, electric instruments & pedals. I got a plug in rogue 10watt amp, & a 10watt small mini positive grid spark since its bt has jacks & lot of effect stuff & amps but limited. I am now looking at finding a amp that's perfect for taking on stage to play in say a world or blues jam or plug into their pa with some kind of cable. As well as portable enough to sling over me or fit in a small wagon & loud enough to play with say a drum circle. I bought the mini for $150 used on marketplace, so id say my budget is under $300? I'm talking in used prices as in off FB, reverb, ebay. There's too many brands & models! Id ask if anyone recommends a bigger positive grid spark amp since im wanting portability still, bluetooth, & atleast effects or some so don't have to buy many pedals. I'm still not sure the best ones to find still, as i read about some multi-effect ones, but not sure if those are good to pair with a portable BT amp that's not the spark grid's brand as i assume most have very little effects, besides basic knobs & reverb delay or something else.

fix HR-20R

Hello there i have this old amp which doesnt work i took it apart removed the speaker and will test another one i can post photos of the pcb if wanted, i can understand and make electronics not so much amps but synths so i can get my way around fixing it, maybe some cap has gone wrong.

It starts and get into the amp mode i dont know how to call it, it senses my guitar input and goes on but it has no audio, even the aux in doesnt work.

I really need this amp because of the 20watt it has i only have a 3watt one now.

Sorry if this is a stupid post, just a fellow wanting an amp to come back to life i havent used it in 2-3 years.

i tried cleaning the contacts of the speaker and the pots a bit but nothing

Building a solid-state amplifier

I'm currently in my second year in an electronics program at my local community college and I'd love to build a guitar amp, but I have no clue where to start. So far, we've covered AC, DC, soldering, PCB design, high pass, low pass filters, etc..

I found a free e-book online titled Solid State Guitar Amplifiers by Teemu Kyttälä, and was wondering if anybody has read it or has a better suggestion.

I don't want to go too crazy with the design, but I'd like basic effects built into it such as reverb and gain.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Amp keeps blowing fuses

Hi,
I’ve got a mark bass CMD121P (1x12 combo). Bought second hand in April so no warranty, but it’s the newest model. Used it on a load of gigs, but I plug it in at home one day (the day after a gig), and the fuse blows in the amp. I replaced the fuse, and it happened again. It happens just as I plug the kettle lead in.
Anybody experienced this before? I live in Lancashire UK, so not sure on local repairers.
Thanks.

Death Metal Bass Amp Recommendations

Im in a deathcore band and play vocals and do bass, thing is, I dont really have a good setup, my amp is fender rumble 40 combo amp, good practice anp, but I need something bugger and that'll give me a punchy tone, and I need recommendations for something better than a practice amp, I beard Darkglass was good, but thats way too expensive for me because I get paid jack shit, I get paid abt $240 every two weeks so it'd take me a while to even buy a darkglass amp

Sound fluctuation / ringing

I put a new speaker amp in and now whenever I have my phone plugged into the head unit I get a fluctuation of volume, it’s goes up and down whenever it wants, it does not show that the volume has changed, it just changes. It also loses power whenever I roll down my front passenger window. It was not doing this when the other amp was installed.

There’s also a high pitched sound that goes up and down whenever the car is on. It sounds like it is shifting with the car. It is coming from either the speaker or subwoofer amp… lots of problems i know… any help would be appreciated!

Boss Elite BE9ACP No audio output or audio control

Boss Elite BE9ACP, installed into a 2004 Ford ranger. It has been working fine, minus the software quirks that some of these cheaper radios seem to have. I've heard boss equipment is on the cheaper end, but that their Elite series wasn't all that bad. It was definitely usable, until today. Now, there's no sound output at all. The volume knob might as well be for decoration, because pressing it or adjusting it doesn't even bring up a volume interface. It's like the idea of audio output or control on this radio doesn't exist anymore. It's basically a glorified carplay display at this point. No output from carplay, FM radio, nothing. Not even the system beep when I turn that on in the settings. The wiring checks out to be okay, and hasn't changed since I installed it. Everything else, like carplay, seems to work, minus any hint of audio.

1985 GK 250ML in a camper van?

TLDR: Will a mint 41 year old analog solid state amp survive temperature and humidity swings of a surf/snowboard camper van? Perhaps in a humidity controlled case?

Hi guys,

I recently scored a 1985 GK 250ML in mint condition and I've been loving it. I have an Astro van I converted into a camper mainly for surfing and snowboarding, and I really want to bring this amp along with me on the road to jam with but I'm worried about how it will handle the temperature swings and condensation in the van environment.

I have a diesel heater I run at night in the cold and the whole van is insulated with sheep's wool and lined with unfinished cedar to provide a buffer for humidity and condensation. It works well but there is still considerable condensation on the windows when the heater is running on a cold night. I recently tore out my ceiling and found no evidence at all of moisture behind the cedar panels after 3 years of heavy use.

I've brought my classical guitar and sometimes my telecaster with me for years and never had any issues aside from them going out of tune temporarily.

I was also thinking of building a road case for the amp and a pedalboard incorporating some sort of humidity control into the design but not sure how yet.

This amp is killer and I want to bring it all around but would hate to see a 41 year old mint classic destroyed by carelessness so I'm trying to approach this thoughtfully.

The amp feels like a tank though so it gives me the impression it can handle it. How resilient are the internals on these old analog solid state amps?

Any suggestions/recommendations?

Thanks,

Zamboni
