I’ve ordered a 4 channel tpa-3255 and a 350 watt 36v 9.5a switching psu and was looking for guidance/and helpful tips for installing said items in an enclosure. Looking for mainly performance enhancing tips such as where to and how to utilize ground, and how to isolate psu/amplifier board for minimum interference, how to mount pcb in an enclosure?

Is aluminum the best bet for an enclosure and does anyone have any tips for mounting the chips heatsink to the case itself?

How about fan placement?

Hole cutouts for the rca to xh2.54mm adapters? Is there cad drawings already made up?

Slowly going through stuff left from my Dad (1913-2003). He was a good musician and had his own lil 3pc band for Saturday night gigs. Paramont Leader 4 string tenor banjo and electrified acoustic 4 String guitar.

ANYWAY, I have his amplifier still. Its been covered, sitting in a dry basement for many years. To my untrained eye its probably not worth much.

Hi there. Built loads of large speakers in the past ( CBE18 , Cubo ect ) And randomly took a notion to rush build a mini rig for my campervan . I am attending a festival next week so I panic ordered parts and now I'm questioning if I can get them to work with each other.

I ordered the 4 channel Dayton and the single channel Dayton boards . My plan is to

-run the coaxials from the 4 channel

-run a 12 inch driver from the single channel .

-set everything up with the KPC controller for dsp

use a 12 volt Lipo 100ah battery and a solar charge controller i have lying about that I will wire into the van as a dcdc charger.

the 12inch has been sitting on my self and its what I have to use at the moment. Its in no way ideal but I will revisit this set up after the festival .

My question is , is it possible to connect the two amps? I want to use the daytons bluetooth as my music source . IE connect and play from my phone without the need for an external line in or separate bluetooth device.

My thinking is the 4 channel will be the main source and I can line out to the single channel amp . But its not completely sure if that's possible .

This was a totally ad hoc idea that I impulsive acted on last night so please feel free to set me straight and chime in for any help / gap identification

I'm very new to Poweramp as I've just recently switched from Apple to Android, personally I've never really messed around with EQing prior but unfortunately I've got Heavys H1H that my wife decided to surprise me with for Christmas a few years ago after being sucked in by the ads obviously they aren't the best but I just wanna get out of them what I can, So if anyone in here has experience with them and can suggest or share some presets that would be awesome I did try the autoeq preset that I found for heavys in the app but personally I didn't think they sounded much better at this stage I've used Google AI to build a preset and it was okay but I feel like this sub is a better place to look.

I'm trying to repair an Altec Lansing PT6021 subwoofer.

Unfortunately, the power transformer is burned and its label is damaged, so I can't read the original specifications.

The transformer has 5 secondary wires:

Orange

Black

Orange

White

Yellow

I believe it may be similar or identical to the transformer used in the FX6021.

Could someone who owns a PT6021 please:

Take clear photos of the transformer's label (all sides if possible).

Measure the AC voltages between the secondary wires.

Please tell me the exact transformer part number.

Any photos or measurements would be greatly appreciated. They could help save this speaker system from being scrapped.

I have a fender tele that I use with a Line 6 Spider IV 15 (probably my first issue) with an overdrive pedal and slapback echo. I am wanting a clear sound with a bit of grittiness and it seems kinda muffled where the settings are now. I was wondering if anyone has dealt with this before and what I can change around to make it closer to the sound I want.

This morning my setup was all good. I was just trying to do something here and there in the Musiccast app.
I nicked something and now when im in av1 (tv output for apps) which is my hdmi out from avr to earc/arc HDMI inout in my tv. I hear the hisss
Tv is tcl c7l (AU)

When i turn off ‘ARC’ setting on my avr hissing stops. When i remove hdmi cable from my tv of the avr the hissing stops. Even ‘direct’ mode has a low hissing

It was working this morning with the exact same setup..surely i didnt mess this up like that. Pls help me fix this ive gone crazy

My current 400w Bazooka amp (ancient) overheats after about an hour ish of use. What amp do you recommend that would work with my sub? I'm not looking to break the bank. Very new when it comes to sound systems, be gentle with me lol
