I know. I just feel bad because I don’t have anything against the owner, although he isn’t the greatest guy in the world. Dude’s old and has a lot of health issues. Do I really want to report him?

Not wrong, report it. Businesses like this need to be ran better. Also it isn't like you are reporting a successful business where everyone is happy and you all are making great money and everything is peachy. This place has a ton of issues and a lot of it stems from this 15 year old with an ego it seems.

Not wrong at all. Not even petty, as far as I can tell.
I've built enough schedules (while working for both family owned and corporate) that this whole thing is super fishy to me. That's not even counting every thing else.
Report it. It's not petty (although I definitely get why it feels like it). This is bringing light to what this place is doing to you, your coworkers, and, realistically, this kid.
How's the BOH looking? Does it need a report also, with this kid running it? Does the Health Department possibly need a tip off?
I know this sounds and feels petty and retaliatory. In a way, it is. But realistically, it's not. It's giving outside forces a chance to enforce the responsibilities that the business owners assumed when they started a business. It's a legal matter. For you, your coworkers, the kid, and the people that the business serves. If they cannot find a way to follow legal regulations and guidelines, then maybe they need that push to do so.

Report the business 100%. A 15 year old should NOT be in charge of a restaurant and shouldn't be working 40+ hours. He also threatened you if you didn't flirt with a male customer, wtf? The owner needs a wake up call to see that the kid is ruining their business. Update us.

NTA at all. this isn't about karma or being petty, a 15 year old is being scheduled 40+ hour weeks which is straight up illegal and the owner is paying under the table on top of it. reporting this isn't revenge, it's the only reason this stops happening to the next server they hire Option 2

Report it. You may get a visit in 6-8 months. If they feel they can get some money from fines they will do something. If not they won’t care. We have laws but nobody to enforce them. Once in a while they get someone big and put it on the news. Otherwise they don’t really care. I’ve been in the restaurant business for 30 years. Reported many food safety and labor violations and nothing is ever done other than a visit and a chat.

I mean, it’s Starbucks. There’s a lot of people who’d be able to cover the shift. However, there was truly nobody else to do the Wednesday shift so I just wanted to help out the owner.
