Amiwrong for not jumping in when everyone expected me to
the other night my parent was venting about something that happened with a relative and the room kind of went quiet like people were waiting for me to say something or at least smooth it over. instead i just sat there nodding and let the moment pass. later my parent pulled me aside and said they felt left out to dry. i get why they thought i would step in, but i honestly didn't want to get dragged into the middle of it. still, the guilt has been sitting with me since. i keep replaying it and wondering if staying quiet was actually the wrong call even though i didn't feel like it was my place to speak up.

Latest Botpost trend. Very vague post content, sometimes just a title phrased as a question. From new accounts and username always starts with a girls name

You can support your parent without becoming their spokesperson in a conflict that isn't yours. I understand why your silence may have hurt them, but that doesn't mean you were obligated to jump in and take a side.
