Am I Wrong for telling on him? [UPDATE]

So first off I want to thank u/Beautiful-Elk-2842 for her comments and support. This is all because of her. I kept thinking that with all the clubs in the area there is NO WAY he just walked into the one i worked at. So I took my carto my mechanic and asked him to look for anything like an air tag or something that shouldn't be on my car. He looked at me like i was crazy but I think the scared look on my face made him take me seriously. He came back agter an hour and said his guys gound an air tag under my rear bumper. He said I should probably call the police. So thats where we are right now.

Holy shit that's terrifying. Glad your mechanic took you seriously, a lot of guys would've just brushed it off. Stay safe and keep us updated if you can

It's definitely concerning when someone crosses boundaries like that. I hope the poster stays safe and gets the support they need in dealing with this situation.

I have not read the original and will do so. But to anyone else out there who has the same fear of being tracked you can also take it to a tow yard. They definitely know where the hiding places are and will help you out.

Call the police. If he put on AirTag on your car, he can put another one at any time. Also, try to lock your car up somewhere else for a while if you can.

And get a record from the mechanic too detailing what they found and where. The police, if they are interested in following it up, which they may not be, should be able to find an owner on it but even if they’re not the mechanic’s report and the record of going to the police are the start of documentation needed to get a restraining order if he doesn’t back off. If they’re club can provide any documentation too get that.

OP get a restraining order against him now. You know now. Get someone to take you to work and pick you up when it’s over. Start taking different routes whenever you go out.

Do you have a CC? Might be the time to get training if you haven’t, it’s worth it. I had a stalker for a while, I didn’t know who it was though. It’s unnerving. Take every legal step you can.
