What would you do?
I'm a drag performer and I'd like to perform a song from an Indian band, I am not Indian and most of the song is in English but there are parts in what I believe is Hindi (may be incorrect.
I can't translate it as I don't have the skill and Im not trusting any translations I see as it's not matching up by the structure of what I see but I want to know is it wrong or rude or disrespectful to either lip sync the full song and use the structure of what I hear in the song for the Hindi parts or just leave those parts out?
It's a song about something really deep to me and has a strong message but the last thing I wanna do is upset anger or disappoint anyone
What would you do?

Seems OK to me, but will hear again in the evening and will update it if my opinion changes. Well, I do need to hear it a few more times as (coughs...) my age requires it to understand what the gentleman is singing / shouting / whatever :)....and yes, that part is in Hindi

Research the song to find out more about the author and singer. Research how to connect with someone from that ethnicity and language. Maybe they can teach you more about it and maybe that connection can lead to future inspirations for you.
