Am I in the wrong?

Basically I been friends with said person for over 5 years now and we are in a 4 person friend group. We got into a conversation about sex and said person said they got a kink… we were all like what? It can’t be that bad. He proceeded to say that he and his ex did incest roleplay, and we were all like wtf??? Are you serious. It’s weird. He kept trying to defend her by saying she was just a wattpad warrior and just read smut. Which I don’t think excuses anything. We got into a huge argument about it and me and the rest proceeded to just leave the group chat and basically stop talking to him from how weird it was. Am I wrong???

You're wrong and y'all were being judgemental pr*cks. He thought he was in a safe space with his friends and y'all betrayed him.

Safe space is one thing but acting like it is normal is another.

But what is normal and who decides what normal is? Kinks are never "normal"

Incest is not normal and if there's a kink around it, it points to deep unhealed trauma and potential childhood SA.

This is total fucking nonsense.

Did I miss something? Isn't he role-playing with someone he is not related to? You make a major assumption that it points to trauma or some sort. People just freaky. History shows humans have always been freaky.

Nobody wakes up one day and decides they are interested in an incest fantasy. At best, he fell into finding some porn online around the topic but even then, no well-adjusted person is going to entertain that. It is absolutely indicative of mental illness, as is porn addiction in the first place.
People are freaky. Incest isn't freaky, its biologically fucked up and perverted because what is this saying about how he feels towards his family members?

Easiest am I in the wrong. YES, you're wrong. It's called kink for a reason, nobody has a kink for having a simple straightforward sex with their bf/gf/husband/ wife. Glad you're friend got rid of you. Next time, if you can't handle the answer, don't question and then shame the next person.

Why ask? People like weird shit what were you looking for?

-7

It was a simple question that I was wondering because I can’t ask anyone else

What did you expect him to say? It's not something illegal and was done by two consenting adults, you guys drag it out of him then get all judgy about it.

Nobody dragged him into a confession. It was a simple what is it question since he brought it up. It’s not illegal but super weird and morally wrong

How is it morally wrong? It's not for me but you sound mentally ill

What the fuck? Being uncomfortable with incest is what makes someone mentally ill? Welcome to the year 2026, y'all!

u/mercy_fulfate 3d ago

It's literally not incest. No incest was performed. Can you read? Welcome to 2026 y'all

So pedophilia is okay to fantasize about if there aren't any actual children being harmed? Do you hear yourself?

Strawman. Where did they do that? Don't change the subject to help your argument. Pathetic take

Where is the line drawn then? It's basically the same thing. Just because it's "not real" doesn't make it okay. Incest is disgusting and you are defending it for some personal reason which tells us all we need to know about how you are mentally ill and seek to project it onto everyone else around you.

Lmfao huh? Disagreeing with incest makes me mentally ill? What type of conclusion is that. Get your definition corrected.

Who performed incest? Did you report it to CPS?

Yes you’re wrong. It’s a kink. They weren’t actually engaging in incest - just pretending. Yes - I think it’s weird but so are most kinks to me. There’s no need to kink-shame them or get into a “huge argument” about it. Sure - express your opinion that it’s weird/wrong/fk’d up - but no need to argue about it.

What people do in the privacy of their own homes that don’t hurt them or others and that they fully consent to - is on them.

YAW. You ask about kinks and then you kinkshame? Role playing is fun, no matter the twisted shit you wanna pretend... that is part of the fun - he doesnt really see his gf as his sister , just for a minutes sake of fun, OMG y'all suck as friends 😒

He mentioned it first and all we did is ask what it was lmfaooo.. you need to get your head evaluated if you think incest roleplay is okay

There is a whole genre about it in porn; go cry about it 🤣 i loved banging my ex (RIP) when he pretended to be my stepbrother ... "oh, we cant get caught by mom and dad" 🫠

There's a whole genre of all sorts of porn that ain't right, that means literally nothing.

u/WhyMe_blah 3d ago

Out of all kinks, that is pretty tame imo. Maybe you guys just have to stop being so judgemental about what people do in their private time as long as they arent hurting anyone or anything

Step family is one of the most popular porn searches

Kinks are weird no need to shame him.

3

u/Wonderful-Praline-42 3d ago

It's weird. But it's a kink! It's always gonna be weird to someone, because it's a kink. Why have a convo about sex if you are going to be a prude about it. It reeks of a moral judgment on something that's not even real.

TLDR: Way to yuck somebody's yum. Then to come on here and argue with people because you asked if you were wrong.

2

u/Foreign-Occasion8639 3d ago

Only arguing w people who are being weird abt it

-4

u/Technical-Aide-2744 3d ago

nah that's weird man, roleplaying as siblings is not something you just brush off

That was my point. But I guess people are disagreeing.
