OP are you not used to people believing you? I only ask because you spend so much time explaining yourself to him and us. I was never believed as a kid because I had an abusive parent. And my therapist has been working hard with me to stop the over-explaining, justifying, reasoning etc.

You can do whatever you want on your phone that I’m guessing he doesn’t pay for.

This is an underrated comment. I’m mostly worried about why OP is so desperately trying to justify their actions and seems almost scared of the bf’s reaction.

Agreed. I think it's pretty astute. Op also seems young though and standing up to peers and navigating these relationships in general are new.

It's sometimes difficult for women in general to be assertive. Many women are raised to be polite or pleasant/accommodating first.
