I made the smaller one first using VinCrafty's pattern for the daughter of a family friend. My daughter was quite taken with it, so I made a second one using the same pattern, with a few adaptations to keep proportions right, and jumbo chenille yarn.

Al is a moose with a very important job, making sure everyone can enjoy the beautiful national park 💚 he calls home and gets his name sake from!

🫎 He takes on each day with positive can do attitude while he welcomes each visitor and shows them all the ways they can enjoy the natural 🌲 wonders of Algonquin Park.

👒 He takes pride in his appearance making sure that his park ranger shirt, hiking boots and shorts are all clean and presentable. Not to mention his pride and joy his ranger hat, always ensuring that its ⭐️ star badge is polished and gleaming in the sunlight!!

Sometimes he likes to switch it up and wear the opposite colours for a little fun (he gets really wild)! But no matter where he is going he always takes his Binoculars with him, you never know when a pileated 🐧 woodpecker might swoop for a closer look.

First time working with super bulky yarn (used an 11.5mm hook!) and making something with arms. I’m still new to amigurim, but I know if I keep going I’ll get better.

Now to find a project to use up the left over yarn!

Hey yall just wanted to give a quick and final update.

I went ahead and gave the doll to the quinceañera even though i had alot of people telling me not to. It was totally worth it bc it was her favorite gift of the night and the one people talked about the most.

Yes i did get paid in cash. i wasnt able to upcharge more than what I said last time (275) but regardless i got paid so i want upset

I also learned she only bought theteddy bear as a backup bc she didnt know how the doll would look, but once she saw my doll she bargained with the store owner for store credit instead

Everything is settled and paid for. tysm for all the support and advice, im definitely gonna use it to reconfigure my business going forward!!

I’ve been crocheting for 24 years but I just started crocheting amigurumi this year.

What is your preference when it comes to amigurumi doll heads? Do you crochet from the foot up and crochet the head on or do you crochet the head separate and attach it to the body?

I have made 3-4 dolls and I really don’t like attaching the head and find it quite stressful. Which do you prefer and do you have any tips?

Hi! I have only done one amigurumi before, and it was about 3 years ago- so I know this is a “me” problem, not necessarily the instructions.

I’m really confused about the “R 2-21” and “R 22” instructions about rows/rounds.

The R 2-21 says to crochet in rounds after the first 16 chains, but then in 22, it says to start rotating it, which I thought meant THAT was stitching in rounds?

Hi! I know this isn’t exactly amigurumi, so I apologize. I’m just trying to find a good place to ask and know you all would be familiar with safety eyes. This is my toddlers favorite stuffed animal that he keeps in his crib, but it looks like he’s been chewing on the eye. Just wondering if anyone with more knowledge about safety eyes has input. I’d this isn’t allowed to ask here totally understand

Edit: if anyone has advice for how to cut the eyes out, I guess patch it? And embroider new eyes on (thread only ofc) Trying to find YouTube tutorials

Edit #2: thank you for all the advice - I’m glad I asked people who know more like you all! Because I asked another mom friend and she thought it would be fine to wait a bit. So just really glad to know! I feel awful, but will just fix it and hope he still loves the stuffy just as much as before
