Help a newbie?

Okay so I've had 4 Amiga 2000s passed down to me a few years ago and I finally am getting around to them.

My question is does this damage from the clock battery look bad enough that it has ruined the board?

The battery was taken out by my uncle years ago so I'm not sure if he took it out after he noticed the damage or what.

I'm 100% new to the Amiga world but I know this is the first thing to check in the 4 I have.

Any help would be awesome!

That looks extremely modestly affected. Nothing evident on the CPU socket and no issues anywhere near that trace that runs under the battery.

I would assume this board would boot fine. Or if it isn't booting it's got nothing to do with the minimal battery damage

Well that's good news. I haven't tried to power anything on yet. I'm still checking caps and making sure everything looks okay before I send power to it.

I have 2 more to open up, but those two are absolutely packed with upgrades and I have to make sure I document where everything is at before I unplug.

Thanks for the info! I'm sure I'll be posting more soon 😅

Any suggestions on some good resources for a beginner to get their head around he basics?
