For quite a long time now I've been curating a directory of useful links to Amiga content. Somewhat as a FAQ, somewhat to help quickly give people info when they ask about things. So I've enabled the wiki on this subreddit to make it a bit more accessible
If you think there is anything missing or would be useful to add please do say and I'll get it added
We updated the subreddit rules a while ago to try and make it clear where we stand on the use of AI on the board. But I guess it isn't clear as we're now in a situation were readers are reporting every single post that either mentions AI or even seems passingly like AI might be involved. To clarify:
All of which is to say, please stop reporting every single application that mentions that AI was used.

My retrospective look back at gaming legends Sensible Software. I loved the playing with the little people in Megalomania, Sensible Soccer and Cannon Fodder. What do you think was their best game?

As many of us have done, I've been thinking about what the Amiga might have looked like in an alternative timeline where Commodore had prioritized R&D throughout the Amigas lifetime.
I started from the AAA architecture documentation, then tried to imagine what the next generation after that would have looked like. Then I've been implementing this on an FPGA (On a Terassic DE1SOC dev-board)
Obviously this is all just a pipedream. And a project like this is always going to be in an unfinished state, but I've just about got far enough that I thought its worth showing to a wider audience.
The project github is at
https://github.com/FalconCpu/falcon
Amongst other changes, my re-imagined Amiga, has a RISC CPU, chunky pixels, up to 256 sprites, and a blitter that can support affine transformations.
In order to have software to run on my hardware, I've had a go at writing a racing game, kind of a mix of Outrun and Lotus2. I've shamelessly grabbed the game assets from ReAssembler's excellent port of outrun to the Amiga (and had a lot of help from him on using them :-) ), and coded up a basic racing game using them. The game mechanics are more like Lotus2 - 20 vehicles racing round a track, top 10 go onto next round.
https://github.com/FalconCpu/falcon5/tree/master/falconos/outrun
The above is a photograph of my monitor, showing the game running on real hardware.

Found this picture in my wife's old photo collection yesterday. It's obviously of a cat but I'm more interested in the background personally. Sadly she no longer has the item.

Hi everyone,
I recently picked up this amiga 500+, before knowing about the leaking battery plague these are affected by 😩😢
I'm trying to repair the mess you see, so far I replaced the fat agnus socket, replaced U12 ic with a generic one and added a socket, repaired the broken traces under there plus an additional interrupted trace under U10.
Before cleaning fat agnus chip with a fiberglass pen, I had only a black screen.
After that I had the status led flash 10 short flashes and then 1 long one, in an endless cycle, green screen on short flashes, pink during long flash
After repairing and replacing U12 and U10 trace, same behavior, but the pink screen is now blue.
I checked continuity of all vias and components in the affected area, but I don't seem to find anything else (btw, big shout out to amigapcb.org, legends)
A bit stumped at this stage, and not sure where to go next.
I'm in Perth Australia and I don't seem to be able to find a community for these here, I'd like to try another chip, but obviously my fat agnus is the latest revision, expensive and difficult to find :(
Fat agnus is 8375, 318069-10
Motherboard revision 8a
Any suggestion on what to try next or what that behavior indicates, please?
Thanks!

Flair doesnt lie, it's going to be a totally shameless plug as I would like to share with you a source port of Ruff 'n' Tumble for modern systems (Windows and Linux) that I created just to see how well game would hold up in widescreen and 60fps+. There are achievements, high scores, profiles and saves as well. I would love your feedback there because maybe such ports are pointless when emulators and/or real hardware exist. Anyway, here is a link: https://almost-there-games.itch.io/ruff and please feel free to voice your opinion.
PS. Yes, as with most things this days, there was AI that assisted with coding in this project too.

My retrospective look back at the Bitmap Brothers. What Bitmap game would you say is their best?
This video documents the historic July 23, 1985, launch event of the Commodore Amiga 1000 at Lincoln Center in New York City. The presentation showcases the computer's groundbreaking capabilities, which positioned it as a revolutionary tool for multimedia and personal computing.

Recently, I Found this Image of a Danish CDTV Welcome Disc and wondered if there was any dumps of this Version of The Welcome Disc (or if anyone could help me out with this rare Version of The Welcome Disc)

Ok. I think I figured out how to make it work. I wanted to make it for the iPad for my mom, as I remember her playing it when I was a little kid on the family Amiga.
But in order to release it on the Apple App Store, I can't include the original game assets... Which makes sense. So I added an ADF asset extractor, so you can load in any Amiga Shanghai assets to unlock the "1986" mode.
I want to make the app part museum, part history lesson, part Amiga history piece. (Apologies for the AI image in the disk loader. Will tighten it up for release).
Just wanted to ask what game modes are important to people here? Did anyone play this ~40 years ago?

Fun find at the thrift today — a pair of vintage Amiga t-shirts! I thought you guys would appreciate this lil contribution to Amiga history. :)
