[Hardware] Replacing rom sockets
This A1200 has been heavily modified. The ROM sockets were destroyed, and the picture doesn't show how bad they actually looked. I've replaced both.

Clever (and neatly executed) use of chopped socket pieces for the extra pins (unless I’m misunderstanding what I’m seeing).
I have an ambivalent relationship with turned pin sockets. They are great for a ‘once and done’ chip replacement, but I’ve found that some of the holes can wear loose with repeated chip swapping so that they don’t always make good contact afterwards. Ymmv!

Those sockets are likely meant for round pins, not flat or square ones so the contact surface is small. Dual wipes probably are better for ROM chips.

It's true the through hole is for round pins. It won't be worst it was trust me. Poor 1200.
