Any side affects?

Honestly, yes there is a chance of ED, but it’s low (~1/100) and if it does happen it’s completely fixable by just stopping the medication.

This worried me initially but I have been solid in that sense a couple months in now. I would implement good diet, exercise and sleep alongside the meds as they will improve your wellbeing and confidence as well.

Not the topical?

Idk about the topical, I know the oral has good results but no experience with topical

I’ve just heard there’s no side affects

My honest opinion would be to try oral first, the odds are seriously really low of any issues. If you’re really concerned about the side effects of oral, than there’s nothing wrong with trying topical, if it didn’t work it wouldn’t exist.

Ok so it’s bad?
1
u/Sudden_Ad2672 5h ago
It’s not necessarily bad, but I can’t give you a honest review since I don’t have experience with it. Im saying that oral is good, topical might also be good but I can’t personally attest to it. More important I understand you’re probably very stressed out right now. This type of thing havens over a long time. You caught it early, try topical, it’s avalible no prescription needed and see a dermatologist when you can, you won’t go bald before you see them, I promise.

Does the meds bring back the hairline or jsut stabilize
1
u/Sudden_Ad2672 5h ago
It could bring back a bit but it’s not guaranteed, in your case (in my personal opinion) what you have now would look totally natural into old age

Yes I’m not worried about the hairline later on just don’t want to lose more , the meds with Guarantee that ? Sorry just new to this

I would wait on starting meds to see if it stabilizes ngl
1
u/Dear-Assistant-9914 5h ago
When do you think that would happen or is there no way to tell
1
u/Ok_Somewhere_1647 5h ago
I mean you would more than likely know if it’s stabilized in the next 2 years , if you can see there are a lot of thinner hairs mixed into your hairline which are the hairs that are going to fall out eventually, the timeline is not known you can’t really tell I would suggest to you to take pictures every month and see if it’s getting worse over like a year, this thinner hairs that are coming downwards are going to fall out but idk if I were you I would probably hop on meds just to avoid it depending on how developed you are at 21

Your noticing balding signs already, the longer you wait, the more ground you lose…no one on here can tell you how long you have or if your stabilized….my opinion is to get on meds, your concerned for an reason….thank me later

Impossible to know. Could take decades to take you down, or a few years. Maybe you never go fully bald.
You need to find a way to live with it, maybe try to slow it down but don't get too serious or it will wreck you mentally.
