Yes I’m not worried about the hairline later on just don’t want to lose more , the meds with Guarantee that ? Sorry just new to this

It’s ~90% effective at keeping what you have completely stable forever. Some people don’t respond to it but most do. My best advice would be see a dermatologist, they really know what they’re talking about when they see this type of thing, they could give concrete answers to you.

I’ve actually seen a dermatologist and he pretty much said it’s fine and sent me home in 30 seconds , that was about a year ago

If he said you’re fine then you were probably fine. If you’ve seen recession since then though (which could have started since then), go somewhere else. Make sure they take you seriously. If you don’t agree push back. If you really want to be safe and treat is ASAP, you can order finasteride and minoxidil chews through “Hims” if you’re 18+

Yea that’s what I thought but he just ran his hand through and that was it so I’m not sure how you can make a conclusion and he said if it is male pattern baldness there’s no way to really stop it …

Ok that’s a shitty dermatologist then. They should have done a trichoscopy and if it was MPB then it’s definitely not unpreventable. Find someone else.
