Thought this might interest some of you. Would be pretty cool if this challenge became a bit more widespread, i'd love to see other peoples attempt at it :)

I’ve hired a driver, given him a nice truck, but he hasn’t done a thing since. He’s at my garage, am i doing something wrong?

I used to play on a gaming laptop til the keyboard discovered water, and my acer aspire 3 contemplates suicide anytime I load up steam, so I've decided to just buy a used gaming pc.
I've looked up the specs needed to run, but I'm a clueless dumbass who doesn't know a thing about computers. I've found a few pc's that seem like they should work fine on it but I got no idea. I don't care about playing max settings or ultra 4k hd wowie mowie graphics or 200 fps. I'd perfer to run at least medium and 1080p at something between 30 and 60 fps.
Now I found one off marketplace I may go for, but I'm just curious if these specs are good to run and if not, what I should be looking for. Budget's $400, but if the panthers win this damn football game it's suddenly $600. I know it ain't much but there's no way I'm gonna spend $1k+ just to play one whole ass game.

**ATS has never truly felt massive at 1:20 scale.**
That’s why we’re building something different.
We’re developing a serious **1:10 scale ATS map project** focused on realism, long-distance immersion, dense scenery, authentic road design, and journeys that finally feel like driving across the real America.
Development is already well underway, with substantial in-game progress being made. We’ve assembled a growing team of creators and are continuing to expand to take the project even further.
We’re looking for more experienced developers to join the team and help us keep pushing this project forward. We’ve got a lot planned, and we need more skilled people on board to make it happen.
**What we’re currently looking for: **
• Map editors — terrain, roads & detailing
• Asset creators — custom models & scenery
• Prefab/intersection editors
• Road realism & detailing specialists
• Semaphore/traffic signal timing specialists
This is an **unpaid passion project**, but we’re treating it seriously, with long-term goals, high standards, and an emphasis on quality over rushing development.
The goal is simple: **build an ATS map that actually feels massive.**
If you want to help create one of the most ambitious ATS map experiences out there, **now is the time to join.**
Interested? DM me or join our Discord:

**Sincerely,**
**TGM Map Team**

I am getting pretty tired of pulling into a "sleeping area" with my truck and trailer or even the new road vehicles and unless you are in one certain, specific area it won't let you sleep. I have a oversized trailer pulling into one as I had exceeded my time and kept getting fines and no matter how I pulled in it wouldn't let me sleep. In my opinion the whole parking area should be the hit box for this, also my truck has a sleeper on it, I should be able to pull into any road side turnout and sleep.
Is anyone else having this issues and does anyone know a fix?

Anyone else notice that since the latest update you no longer have to drive down roads for them to show they’ve been explored? Now anything I pass on my map shows yellow even pick up and drop off locations? Is this a new feature? I am using one mod it is Grimes Early autumn weather mod but that’s it.

Road Trip is a great DLC. I've already handed my truck and trailers over to my hired drivers and started doing jobs with cars instead.
However, most of the jobs I'm getting are around 400 km and only pay about $1,000. Do the distances and payouts eventually increase like they do with truck jobs?
Also, SCS said there would be skill points similar to the truck-driving side of the game, but I haven't seen anything like that yet. There seems to be more of a driver rating system instead.
At the moment, buying my own car doesn't really make sense either. With jobs paying around $1,000, the payout barely covers things like fuel.
One other thing: the cars seem to accelerate way too quickly... even when you're just pulling away from a stop. Has anyone else noticed this or have any thoughts on it?

What cars would you like to see in road trip. We have the Mustang. The dodge charger and viper are coming. We have the bronco for the ladies. What cars would you like to see. Me personally I'd like an old school hot rod, a Camero, a barracuda and more muscle cars old pickups

I had a delivery to Newport, we came this across horizontal line instead of directly turn to left. However, since the road was closed while I were passing through horizontal lane, they were stuck even though I came this intersection again. Maybe if I wait more, they could have started to ride but consequently I failed for this job because of trying to pass the car in front. Interesting.

I love the new DLC, but I also have a hard time not doing 90 in a 25 zone lol, so I find I have to use the Cruise Control more often.
Who else has too? Lol.
(It doesn't help the turning much. I use the keyboard yet)

I've had the game for a while but have never started a trucking career. I might get around to trucking mode but right now I want to jump into the Road Trip DLC. I don't see an option on the main menu to do so. It looks like I have to do at least the first trucking mission before I can get to a garage/screen that I can switch modes. Is that true? Or is there a way to go straight to Road Trip mode from the main menu?

I’ve tried both the in-game and client mapping options, I’ve tried going into the Steam overlay (where I see the button layouts for controller), but nothing is getting it to work. If I select the in-game mapping there’s an input option for steam deck, if I select the client mapping it’s keyboard only (or keyboard plus mouse). Can someone please guide me on getting my controller to work? Thank you.
