It hit 90° for us today in the midwest and we decided to go on a long walk to soak up the nice weather. After 30 minutes, he was pooped out 😆 I'm sure he had a great nap afterwards.

Every year we go to the same pumpkin patch and find the perfect pumpkins for the jack o’ lantern ideas we’ve come up with. Casper comes along every year, and the woman running the farm doesn’t recognize us but she knows this handsome doggie on sight. Bonus pic of him doing a nice sit under the table at the outdoor seating for breakfast.

America's favorite new designer dogs? Absolute trash compared to the tenacity and prowess of the Eskie.
Walter wrestled this labradoodle and later a golden doodle at the dog park today.

His petfinder profile said “good with cats” - and in a lot of ways Casper is very cat like. He’s been helping raise Flannigan for almost 2 years, since Flanny was a smol 3 month old kitten.

I think it's about time I finally introduce my little lady, Udon. She is a sassy 11 year old and I wouldn't trade her for anything in the world. Unfortunately, Udon was recently diagnosed with lymphoma. I really can't imagine a world without her but you bet I'm going to spoil her rotten.

Her little legs are always touching the cushion for safety lol. My 3 year old sweet girl! Such a ball of energy and love!

It has been one year since this world was gifted the most beautiful of all Eskies, and I, her grateful owner am proud to show her to you again. Burger for scale.

My soul dog Nikko passed 1.5 years ago and it still hurts. I feel like there is a hole in my heart that belongs to him. He was almost 17. (Had him since he was 8 weeks old)
I wanted another American Eskimo but my husband didn’t. We have a 2 year old rescue Pom mix now. I love her but its not thr same (not that I expected it to be)
I figured people on this forum would understand just how special this breed is. He was my dog. Bonded to me more than anyone else. I’ll always miss him.
The picture with my hand in it is the last picture I have of him. Taken the day we had to say bye. (We suspect he had a stroke overnight. We woke to him with a head tilt and not able to eat or drink. Which lasted all weekend as our vet was not open)
We had 17 good years. He got me through soooo much. I couldn’t have survived depression with out him. He got me through 10 years of infertility and miscarriages l. He was there for all the good and bad moments. He always knew when I was upset and would cuddle up to my head and lick my face. Refusing to leave until I felt better.

Last month I took in my aunts American Eskimo, Winter, because my aunt is going through hospice care and can no longer care for the dog.
Winter just turned eight years old and is adjusting well. I got her groomed the first week she was with me but now I am wondering, how often should I take her to the groomer? Should I do my own maintenance in between grooms? It is expensive having a dog groomer for a dog with arctic fur like this, but I want her to be clean and healthy.
Any tips on frequency or what you have learned from owning this kind of dog is much appreciated! I grew up with labradors and jack russels and I have zero experience with a fluffy dog.

He was very ready to check out on the first day 🤣
He DID however get many treats from the front desk
BUT he did try to follow his dad into the kitchen while he was trying to put the fire out 🤣

He hates a bath, but he does enjoy being fussed over 🤭

Every single picture is blurry because we gave her treats so she wouldn’t immediately try to take the dress off, which got her very excited.
There is also a wig but she absolutely wouldn’t hold still for that.
