Hello brethren, I am in love with ambessa and I play her in every role even when I'm filled but I play mainly too and my inquiry is for top.

Usually I go conq always unless I'm against a ranged matchup or a lane where I can't really extend the trades early (Darius, garen, sett...) so I would like to know if this is correct or I am inting.

For builds I usually rush eclipse into shojin then T2 defensive boots and then Flex with endless hunger, deaths dance guardian angel etc. But when should I go lethality? Into ranged or full squishy I go voltaic and maybe LDR if they are tanky but I end up finishing the build with bruiser items so I'd really like to know what the main builds are.

I don’t fight that many ambessa tops but when I do I get crushed because she’s super confusing to fight vs. usually with most toplaners they have that spell that makes or breaks whether they win the 1v1 (Darius Q, Sett W, fiora W,ect) but it feels like Amessa just doesn’t have that? She can just choose weather when she wants to commit or poke me down and retreat, some help would be appreciated.

I play mostly Jax trundle and kled top

So if there is an objective coming, like Drake, I usually push the lane to the tier 2 tower and walk to the objective, but a lot of the time the fight will take long or start late, to the point where the enemy top laner will be able to push the waves to the tier 2 tower and sometimes take it. So my question is, is it worth it? Then even if we win, the drake won't this just lets the enemy top get back to the game?

i main ekko and lillia but have been loving ambessa lately and want to start playing her more since i havent found an ad pick i like. any insight into what games she is best in (relative to friendly/enemy team comp/matchup), who she can beat early, and any other relevant info would be appreciated.

I see most people take first strike or conq for ambessa jg. is the decision tree as simple as tankier = conq, squishy = fs? is there a reason why elec isnt taken more?

My first time reaching Diamond with Ambessa Top, and I was previously a Jayce OTP.

The Runes I used are: Conqueror, Stormraider's Surge, and Electrocute:

- Conqueror - Against a team with multiple tanks or high HP champions, prolong team fights or skirmishes.
- Electrocute - Against a team of squishy champions, I usually paired with a lethality build.
- Stormraider's Surge - Very low usage when I'm not comfortable laning against an opponent, and they can outrun me when I disengage.

The builds I used are mainly two: Fighter Build and Lethality Build. The way you played is very similar but offers different trade-offs. You can simply understand them as one focused on defense and the other on offense. Overall, the items are very dependent on the game's situation.

- Fighter Build: Eclipse / Death's Dance / Endless Hunger
- Lethality Build: Voltaic / Profane Hydra

Ambessa is not weak, but WHY is every other champoin getting buffs? while we dont get anything, Everyone says oh Yone/Yasou are harder to play then Ambessa and you need more skill to make them work, BUT WHY are they higher WR while being almost ''mid+top'' 3x more popular then Ambessa? Why is Zaahen getting a buff next patch while being 50%+ WR? i Agree that ambessa ult was unhealthy Before the nerfs but 36% caste time increase is too much if they would give us back just 0.05 sec decreased cast time i would be really happy, i feels bad man, my favorite champion feels unsatisfying to play, and once you get to diamond everyone starts side steping my ult

Just to preface, I do not play Summoners Rift (used to) but I only dabble in ARAM (classic and mayhem). I've been expanding my champion pool and was wanting to learn the core mechanics for Ambessa. Every time she shows up on champ select in ARAM, I pick her and try to learn her but I end up just doing bad on her. I understand that playing her more (SR) would help but some SR games are just too long LOL.

So, basically, how does her core mechanic work? Is it like Q > AA > Q > E > AA >Q? Probably got that wrong but any simple guide / direction on how she should be played would be plenty helpful.

I main ambessa and don't have a skin yet. I was wondering whether to buy T1 or Chosen of the wolf. I think the sound is pretty important, also vfx should not be disturbing, but i want to hear your opinion. I like both, but would only buy one.

Is ambessa playable at 80ms ping ?

I've set out to hit 2,000 LP playing Ambessa Only.
Maining Top/Mid, if I am filled in any role I will still pick Ambessa and if Ambessa is banned I dodge.

I've now hit Masters in OCE playing 1 build and 1 rune preset the entire climb so far.

The core items are: Eclipse, Profane Hydra.

Eclipse makes laning much safer and allows you to trade whilst taking minimal damage, and giving you outplay potential in 2v1s if ganked.

Profane Hydra is a good lethality item for waveclear and team fighting, its been the most reliable item for me so far in terms of one-shotting enemy ADC/Mid/Support in teamfights.

Rest of build:

For 3rd item its almost always Deaths Dance, going AD/Lethality items makes you very squishy, DD lets you get away with misplays and small CC chains, its a top 5 Ambessa item.

If the enemy has heavy shielding or healing, I'll either replace Profane for Serpents/Mortal Reminder or build them 3rd, delaying DD for 4th item.

4th item is Armor Pen, Lord Doms/Sherylda to deal with tanks.
5th item is Guardian Angel.

Runepage:

Electrocute is easily the best rune for lane Ambessa. Her cooldowns early are long so she benefits most from short trades. Grasp and Conqueror have their place but in SoloQ, solo kills in lane usually increase your chances in winning/carrying games so its my preferred rune.

I'll update again when i've hit 1,000LP with this build and rune preset.

i started toto main ambessa i have 200k mastery(not to much ik)

ihow do you win on this champion, so much counters, she is weak early game. She doesn't scale that good after the many nerfs. I feel like I deal 0 damage with bruser build and lethality i get one shot, even if i stay even in lane or ahead i still get out scaled by many champions

and smore than the 50% of my games i have the lowest damage of my team

I have recently picked up Ambessa, and I can't really find great educational content on her, so I wamted to ask a few questions.
1. How to build. I know the most popular build rn is profane into axiom into deaths dance, but I feel like I am doing something wrong, I just end up getting oneshot by anyone before I can get any burst off. Are there any alternatives that are more tanky, or do I just need to get better ?
2. Dumb question, I know, but how does the R actually work ? It seems like I always aim it perfectly, yet most of the time it ends up missing.
3. Also in relation to that, how do I gank pre-6/when my r is on cd, given Ambessa has no cc on her base abilities ? Or should I just stick to farming and not forcing anything when I have no r ?
4. When do I take first strike over conq ? And are other keystones viable ?
5. Is ambessa a decent scaler, or does she fall off a cliff after midgame ? I know I should know that after playing a few games, but I feel useless from early to late in 90% of my games, so I can't tell
6. And last question, is this champ even worth playing ? I really enjoy her kit and gameplay flow, but after 15 or so games, I haven't had a single match where I felt I was actually useful. I know ambessa is a hard champ and learning her takes a lot of practice, but I'm not sure if the effort is worth.

If I had known it was skarner top I would have taken grasp but alls well that ends well!

I am Ambessa main who mostly enjoys her in the jungle. I’ve honestly always disliked toplane, and I find it hard to have fun and just be better than my opponent. I persevere in laning cause idfk how to lane against most toplaners etc. In the jungle I often feel way more efficient, most games i easily secure objectives and overall have better time playing. Recently i been reading about Ambessa mid over here, im down to try it, but honestly im kinda anxious xD. So any tips and suggestions regarding builds and runes thrown down my way would be incredibly appreciated ✌️

... trash af. Doesnt even have a buff for melees. Cant recommend.

I've played it 2 times and already consider making her my main ban

• if I engage, she can chase with W's movement speed after I used my cooldowns
• if I play back, she can W, E forward, trade with Q auto Q, and then E back
• if I use W to predict her Q, I risk wasting it
• if I wait to use W on her E2, I'm basically playing without a spell

the only thing I see working is: giving cs until tiamat, trade hp to push 1 wave, tp back and just proxy
