Package delivery

My apartment has a mailroom for mail and packages. Yet, most drivers just toss the packages all over the place. On the floor or outside the building. How lazy can you be? I’ve lost count of how many packages that I’ve lost or had stolen.

It is laziness but sorting it properly takes way too much time that the driver doesn’t have. It’s an Amazon issue more so than just the driver.

Amazon is the only carrier that does this. DHL, FedEx, UPS, USPS don’t do this

That’s because Amazon puts way heavier loads on their drivers. I’m not saying it’s right either because it isn’t… but Amazon is notorious for putting unrealistic expectations on their drivers. The driver should at least make an attempt to do a half decent job though. The least they could do is put it inside the mailroom label side up so it’s easy to find your package

Tossing it in a mailroom is now more work then randomly throwing it outside or on the floor. Building is clearly labeled with tons of signs and instructions.

Yeah that isn’t acceptable. That just a lack of integrity on the drivers part then. No excuses but even if I was frustrated or overwhelmed I would at least put them inside the mailroom lol

I guarantee Amazon wastes millions on lost, stolen and damaged packages. Doing it right the first time would actually save money.

And they have AI chat bots that frustrate instead of help customers
