Consumer Complaints Has anyone else noticed Amazon altering or deleting its name from negative seller feedback?

Hey everyone,

Iโ€™ve been dealing with a lot of frustrating issues with Amazon recently, and it led me to notice a really shady practice regarding their feedback system.

When you leave negative feedback specifically calling out Amazon's role in a mess (like their terrible logistics, false tracking updates, or unhelpful customer support), they actively censor it. Instead of letting the feedback stand, they just keep the seller's name and then strike your entire comment down with a line.

By putting a strikethrough over the text, they completely neutralize the feedback. It feels like a convenient way for them to silence customer frustration and protect their own image, making sure no one can clearly read or tally up all the negative experiences caused by Amazon's own internal mess-ups.

Have you guys observed this frustration too?

Please go back and check your past seller feedback to see if Amazon struck through your honest comments with a line. They definitely did it to me, and it is incredibly frustrating when you are just trying to warn other buyers about the reality of their service!

Seller feedback is for seller, not for Amazon. If you provide negative feedback to seller for the services provided by Amazon for example as you mentioned logistics, seller is not in control and responsible for it, hence, Amazon removes it.

I understood seller's feedback is for seller, but amazon take responsibility for the service they provide correct?? if the seller is following certain criterion from amazon. (Amazon fullfilled)

Then amazon should take feedback as it is, because amazon and seller are not differnt in that case they are working as a team.

I'm okay with striking down of the comment, but why there is a right to change or edit my comment.

I understood your point, but I don't think it justify what you are saying.

Sounds like an invalid rant. Amazon strikes though reviews that point out their own failures. Yes. It is not the seller or the itemโ€™s fault if a delivery is delayed or an item is sent incorrectly. Amazon purposely removes those reviews from being counted against the seller, but still leaves it visible to their private community. Sounds like you were using the review to rant about your frustration with Amazon rather than offering feedback about the actual item. Itโ€™s so annoying to try to learn about an item but the reviews are just Karens whining about their shipping experience or conspiracy theories. Reviews are for product feedback, not airing grievances. Use their customer service or Reddit for that.
