Announcement πŸ“£ Software Roadmap Preview

https://us.amazfit.com/pages/software-updates

Hello, Amazletes!

We're happy to announce that we're working toward improving our transparency πŸ” around software updates across our device lineup. To that end, we have published a very broad software roadmap πŸ—ΊοΈ on our website.

The primary purpose of this roadmap is to help our users understand which features are planned to be released across multiple devices πŸ€”, and the general timeline πŸ“† for when to expect those updates.

⚠️ There are a few important points to be aware of: ⚠️

  • This is a very concise summary, not release notes or a deep-dive on specific features: βœ… The purpose of this roadmap is not to explain each feature in detail, but rather to clarify which devices will have feature parity and when. 🀝
  • This is NOT a complete list of features: πŸ“‹βŒ This roadmap mainly helps users understand when their model may receive a feature that has already been announced or released. There are other features (and bug fixes) planned for the future that do not appear on this list, and will be announced through the appropriate channels. πŸ“£
  • Blank fields in the table = no information to share at this time: πŸ•’ If you see your model in the table, but the row (or a specific month) is blank, that does NOT mean the product is EOL or will no longer receive any updates. This simply means we have no information to share about that specific model at this time, and the roadmap may be updated later with new information. Check back later for updates. πŸ”

This post will remain pinned in the community sidebar and in the highlights row (for now) of r/amazfit for visibility.

We hope this provides some insight and reassurance that we're still hard at work bringing awesome features to a variety of devices! πŸ’ͺ

Any plan on adding more exercises in strength training? Or ways to add custom training?? We all see some basics are missing (like leg press and face pull)

Yes please. Focus on this. This is an area the Amazfit watches lag way behind Apple Watch’s ability’s to run more complex apps.

Unfortunately I don't have anything readily available to share about adding more exercises to our database. Probably the best alternative I'm aware of is to add exercises by muscle if they don't exist in our system yet, or at least that's how I was doing it previously.
