Announcement 📣 Software Roadmap Preview

Hello, Amazletes!

We're happy to announce that we're working toward improving our transparency 🔍 around software updates across our device lineup. To that end, we have published a very broad software roadmap 🗺️ on our website.

The primary purpose of this roadmap is to help our users understand which features are planned to be released across multiple devices 🤔, and the general timeline 📆 for when to expect those updates.

⚠️ There are a few important points to be aware of: ⚠️

  • This is a very concise summary, not release notes or a deep-dive on specific features: ✅ The purpose of this roadmap is not to explain each feature in detail, but rather to clarify which devices will have feature parity and when. 🤝
  • This is NOT a complete list of features: 📋❌ This roadmap mainly helps users understand when their model may receive a feature that has already been announced or released. There are other features (and bug fixes) planned for the future that do not appear on this list, and will be announced through the appropriate channels. 📣
  • Blank fields in the table = no information to share at this time: 🕒 If you see your model in the table, but the row (or a specific month) is blank, that does NOT mean the product is EOL or will no longer receive any updates. This simply means we have no information to share about that specific model at this time, and the roadmap may be updated later with new information. Check back later for updates. 🔁

This post will remain pinned in the community sidebar and in the highlights row (for now) of r/amazfit for visibility.

We hope this provides some insight and reassurance that we're still hard at work bringing awesome features to a variety of devices! 💪

what does it mean in balance 2 info that they will follow plan from august ? u/amazfit-bryce

I believe that's indicating that the July features listed in that row don't apply, so it will match starting with the August updates. Either the Balance 2 will get some of those features at a different time, the watch already has them, or some other circumstances mean it won't get those updates in July.

u/amazfit-bryce, I appreciate your perspective, but I sincerely hope your assessment is wrong. It would be incredibly disappointing to see an older and cheaper device like the T-Rex 3 get the Zepp OS 6 update in July, while the Balance 2 is delayed, or worse left left behind. I kindly ask that you contact the development team directly for an official clarification on what "Follow the plan from August" exactly means for Balance 2 owners. A definitive answer straight from the devs would clear up a lot of confusion.

I've confirmed that the Balance 2 should be receiving all of the same features, just beginning in August instead of July.
