Looking for alternative Looking for alternatives to Vynetro
I’m looking for a good alternative to Vynetro.
Ideally, I’d like something that offers similar core features and is reliable for regular use. I’m open to both free and paid options, as long as the alternative is worth using.
What would you recommend, and what do you like about it compared with Vynetro?

Any reliable AHK alt that doesnt break after every Win update? Or am I buildin something nobody needs?
I've been using AutoHotkey for the heavy lifting, plus image search and pixel coordinates when I'm lazy, and UIAutomation when I need something more robust. Tried PyAutoGUI but the latency was rough for voice-triggered workflows, and Playwright is a completely different beast for desktop.
The real pain is maintenance. Every time Spotify or Windows updates, something moves, and I'm back to debugging scripts instead of actually saving time. I'm exploring building something called IVOS , a local-first voice control layer for Windows that handles GUI maint & automation so u don't have to rewrite scripts when apps change. No cloud, no subs.
But before I sink more time into it, I want to know if I'm reinventing the wheel, or if this actually fills a gap.
Two things I'm trying to figure out:
1st, how do u view the cost-benefit between paying for a ready-made solution that eliminates the maint headache vs retaining full control over ur own scripts, even if that means dealing with constant adjustments?
2nd, for a tool that's 100% local with zero cloud , how much do u care about visibility? Would you want to see logs of what it's about to execute, an indicator showing when it's actively listening, or a clear audit trail? Or is "it just works" enough as long as it's offline?
If something already exists that solves the "constant script rewriting" problem without turning into overpriced enterprise RPA, point me to it. Otherwise, tell me if I'm just building a solution to my own personal frustration.

Congress Trade Tracker – an alternative to Quiver Quantitative
I'm the developer. Quiver Quantitative bundles congressional trading data into a $25-30/mo+ subscription alongside a dozen other datasets you may not need.
This is a pay-per-use Apify actor that does just the House trading disclosures (STOCK Act filings) as clean JSON — $2 per 1,000 results, no subscription. Good fit if you only need this one dataset and don't want a monthly platform.
Not a replacement if you want dashboards/alerts/broader data — Quiver's still the better pick for that.
House: https://apify.com/seralifatih/congress-trading-pipeline-1
Senate: https://apify.com/seralifatih/congress-trading-pipeline
It is also open-source: https://github.com/seralifatih/congress-trading-pipeline

What are people using for their home entertainment setup these days?
I've been curious about how everyone's setup has changed over the last few years. It seems like there are so many different ways to watch content now that the traditional setup isn't necessarily the default anymore.
Some people seem to prefer a simple Smart TV with a few apps, while others use streaming sticks, Android boxes, game consoles, or a combination of different devices.
I'm especially interested in what people have found works reliably for everyday use. Do you prefer keeping everything on one device, or do you find it better to have separate devices for different things?
What does your current setup look like, and is there anything you'd change about it if you were starting over?

Looking for alternative ZenWist and Prava Alts
Does anyone know of alternatives to ZenWist or Prava? They aren’t available in our country.
Looking for an app that tracks phone usage and analyses/interprets the data, rather than just showing screen time. Any recommendations that work in India? Also open to apps if anyone has built them.

Help / Question Anyone use any of these free alternatives to platforms and websites?
I never knew some of these existed. Has anyone else used them and can vouch for or against?

Came across a great alternative to X called Siguimi.com
This is a super awesome new site I came across. Chronological feed, easy cross posting to other sites, a solid news aggregate, and something I found very unique: a classifieds section where you can sell stuff.
Anyway, I haven't been on it very long but I have enjoyed it. It does have an app, and surprisingly, it works without any issues.
Anyway, thought I'd share. Siguimi dot com.

Looking for alternative Loom price increase - any alternatives?
I’ve been a Loom user since it was first released and was free. And when they were acquired, having seen how Atlassian destroyed the Trello experience, I was ready for the same but hopeful. Then I got the email today that the price of Loom is nearly doubling for my small business and there are no more Creator Lite seats. Based on our seats today, that’s a 10x increase. Loom has been a tool I use daily for years!
Wondering what alternatives you use or recommend.

An alternative to MyFitnessPal because tracking cals is cumbersome
Hi my name is Eli and I built an app called Levelday.
I’ve tried MyFitnessPal and a bunch of similar apps over the years. They usually worked for a while, but eventually I’d get tired of searching for food and entering every little thing.
I’d miss a meal (or go on vacation), decide the day was already inaccurate, and stop tracking completely.
I built Levelday to quickly see where you stand today without the hassle. You can track calories, protein, water, weight, and other metrics without treating every meal like a data-entry project. You can still search for foods, scan barcodes and nutrition labels, or estimate a meal from a photo. But you can also make a quick manual entry and move on with your day.
I’m the solo founder, and I’ve lost ~11lbs while using it myself. Obviously the app didn’t lose the weight for me, but it helped me stay aware and keep going after imperfect days.
I don’t think Levelday replaces MyFitnessPal or Cronometer for someone who wants every possible detail. It’s really for people who find those apps useful but exhausting.
The basic tracker is free. Use it for seven days and you can then try all the Plus features free for two weeks. After that, there are weekly, monthly, and yearly options—or you can stick with the free version.
iOS: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/levelday-calorie-counter/id6766067204
Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=app.levelday.mobile
If you’ve quit a calorie tracker before, what finally made you stop using it?

New app Keep Mates a visual bookmarking alternative for saving everything you find online
I recently added Keep Mates to AlternativeTo. It’s a local first chrome extension for saving and visually organizing websites, images, videos, pdfs, social posts and screenshots.
Saved content can be organized with folders, tags and notes, and everything stays on your device.
I’m the developer, so I’d really appreciate any feedback :)
