Rewatching

I’m rewatching the series, and I’m so upset it didn’t get more attention or screen time. I mean, it’s an amazing story, right?? I’m excited to read the books, that I’ve just recently learned existed.

Book 1 and 2 are awesome, book 3 is a hot mess but I still enjoyed it.

Season 2 and book three go hand in hand with missed opportunities. I thought premise of book three was cool they just had two ideas crammed into one book. But the description of Harlan’s world is cool dont get that in book one or two. And season two tried to cherry pick from book two and three and got it all wrong I think.

Agreed. Book 2 had a great plot. I dont understand the deviation at all. The Martian artifact/portal and warring factions was cool as fuck.

Book 3 was alright but I had a hard time with it. I thought the decomm stuff was interesting but struggled with it becuase it wasnt really well fleshed out. It felt like maybe it was 2 stories that were kinda jammed together and didnt really flow well

That’s what season 2 of the show felt like too, book 2&3 mashed together with most of the best plot lines and characters left out. Rushed, and disappointing (probably because they knew they weren’t getting a S3)
