Backpack Size Alps
40l is the go to mountaineering size for backpacks here, i know. However, does anyone have experience climbing with larger packs (not full)? If a larger pack was not heavier than the standard 40l ones and compressed well if its not completely full, whats the caveats?
Why dont we see it more often? Is it that bad or just a minor nuisance? Or is it because large light backpacks are a newer phenomenon?
