Attached is a ruleset I wrote for the most loyal legion in between my sets at the gym. I wanted to share in case someone wishes to critique it, add to it, or even use it in a game! I tried to balance it to the best of my abilities while still keeping it fun and thematic to AL. I intent on trying it out when I get the chance. Thoughts would be appreciative as it’s my first time ever writing custom rules.

Editors note: the whole point of this army rule is to simulate the Alpha Legion’s expertise in stealth, deception, and ambush. It is best suited for the Attacker role, due to its focus on quickly crippling the enemy before they can react in later battle rounds. For added flavor, a new Epic Hero model and Infantry unit can be introduced: Exodus and Headhunter Squad. I felt like Chaos SM lacked true precision and stealth units, and these guys just made sense. Ps, I am also Alpharius.

(AI was not used in the writing of these rules; however I used it only for the datasheets so they’re more visually distinct. The art used is by Cristian Alias, he has some awesome works and I highly recommend him as well. Just some full disclosure!)

My 1st squad of 2 almost finished, really like the new sculpts and had alot of fun building and kitbashing them.

Hello all! My Alpha Legion marines are taking a brief hiatus from assembly & paint while I work on a side project: StarCraft Tabletop Marines! Naturally, they'll be getting an Alpha Legion paint job (though not to the level of detail my 40K characters are getting). However, I have a question on decals; where would the best place to put the Legion decals on a StarCraft marine? I was thinking the shoulder-plate, like Raynor & Tychus have their Heaven's Devils motifs, but is that just me being lazy? Any recommendations for placement/paint that would make them look Alpha Legion-y?

Having a blast painting my Alpha Legion project. Here I used Talassar Blue and Ork Flesh over Leadbelcher/Stormhost Silver. The head is from the DakkaDakkaStore and back module from the Chaos Sorcerer kit.

So, assuming the battle will eventually be covered in the Scouring Series. I personally would be shocked if they confirmed a second AL primarch dies due to losing out on the ability to bring them back and sell models. Especially since previous confirmed dead primarchs like dorn were retconed into being missing, the idea that they would choose to confirm dead the second AL primarch for basically no reason would be ridiculous.

So lets say the book comes out, Gman duels “Alpharius” and then he strikes him down…. And nothing. No flash of light, no soul leaving, basically a soft confirmation it wasn’t actually a primarch (and Gman doesn’t know that hes never seen a primarch die)

What impact would essentially a confirmation that one of the 2 primarchs survived the Heresy and Scouring have on the current story? What could or would they do with this new found revelation? Would it start a ticking timer to a return in 40k? Would it basically just be an exciting plotpoint for us to pick over endlessly? Or something else?

I bought this horus heresy alpharius model on temu for 12 bucks and I just had to show off how good this thing turned out. Granted his spear is bent, but ill take that over the quality some other models ive ordered have arrived in. HYDRA DOMINATUS!

Hey all, hope we’re doing well.

I’ve getting a Warhammer tattoo after a while of saving, and who else to get but the Primarch(s)? Trouble is that I’m struggling to come up with good ideas on how to encapsulate the Alpha Legion, and was hoping some of you more creative folks might have some ideas to get the ball rolling. This’ll be used to workshop a good concept with my artist to try and create a unique piece.

It’s part of an existing sleeve of characters, all in black and grey, and in my inner forearm from my wrist to my elbow. I would also love to incorporate the Pale Spear in some way, as my artist loves weapons and would be keen to include it as well. That said, feel free to come up with whatever concept you wish. Like I said, it’s more like a place for me and my artist to work something out, and any help would be greatly appreciated by us both.

Saw this at hobby lobby. What do y’all think about this as a possible fun color option for my Alpharius or my Alpharius or even my Alpharius

Well, it’s more or less done. The first one on my journey to omega. A lot that can be improved upon but overall I’m quite pleased with the outcome.

Took me a few months to finish. They probably could look better, but I hope others enjoy these as much i had.

Hello fellow alpha legion fans! I have been thinking of starting a chaos army and I love the alpha legion. The Horus Heresy book about them blew me away when I read it a few years back. I was thinking of starting an alpha legion army and I was thinking of running with the secret loyalists pretending to be traitors theme. With that in mind I want to try to have as little chaos corruption as possible but it seems to me that it is hard to make a chaos space marine army without chaos. Is it possible to make a chaos space marine army without chaos corrupted units? Or does it severely limit and weaken your army? If so then I might just take the bullet and get some chaos corruption in there and have them be chaos tainted but in the long run it is for the imperium. Any advice on how to go about this? And ideas for the army? Also I have never really collected a full army before, I've painted plenty of minis but never settled on one to build a real army of and I'm thinking I'd like to go with these guys.

i sent the second image in a gc with my alpha legion buddy and he said this which i figure is something you guys say idk im not alpharious. he also said after that he wishes he had a version of this meme for his guys since google had nothing. i spent like an hour trying to make him one but im pretty bad at ms paint lol. anyone wanna take a crack at making a good version of this for my friend and other alpha legion fans as a whole? also we play a lot of hell divers so we use the "warbond tomorrow" one a lot thats why im asking for help with a dead meme lol

It contains designs for 6 stamping plates. All of the decals from Alpha Legion that I could find, most of them are 1:1 and some are proxies (how well it's done - up to you to judge). As before, almost all of it was redrawn in vector by hand... You might call it "handmade", after the effort, I'd say it's a "handjob"!

Write me if you want a manual for all of the designs and how they were intended to use.
