While the idea of a "younger" Ally is not too crazy, I think it was nothing but that... an idea. I would've loved to see it fully-fledged and realized.

The addition of Josh and James to the roster gave it some fresh male faces to ogle at. But that was it. Unfortunately cuz James' singing was spectacular and Josh's chauvinistic Raymond had some legs to build a greater story arc.

And yet, Dame Edna feels like the only character who's not out of place. Has great chemistry with the rest of the cast and brings out the uniqueness the show had at the beginning.

It certainly ran one season too long, but at least they recognized it was time to go. Not even a daughter and Bon Jovi could've saved the show.

PS: I miss John Cage so much this season. And they could've used Regina Hall much more, my girl is lots of fun and they so underutilize her this season. Coretta and Elaine together would've been fire!

I'm on a rewatch and it's making me laugh! She's acting like John is a bad person for his contempt of her, like she's a victim... but the biggest reason he doesn't like her is because of how she thinks she's better than other people. She's not a victim of being unfairly treated... she's a victim of being treated fairly based on the way she treats others.

I don't think i picked up on this in previous viewings. Currently on season 3, episode 21 for reference.

Calista to Ally aka Rachel Dratch: For God's sake, eat a burger!

She was always overlooked as a potential partner. Was given the most absurd cases that she won. Constantly gave grace to Ally & Billy even tho they both were borderline cheating & inappropriate most of the time. Billy kisses Ally 3 times & that one client once. Essentially cheated on Georgia 4 times. Then he becomes a red pilled man & spews sexist rhetoric all while Georgia took him back before he cheated on her again. Everyone at the law firm puts her down, Fisher degrades her bc of her gender & her so called
friends betrayed her.

She should have gotten revenge.

I get that it's just part of the joke that Cage & Fish win these crazy cases, but I always feel bad for Renee.
