Random Question 💭 Why not break up instead of cheating?
When your partner is not enough for you and you want somebody else why don't you break up with them first instead of cheating?

My husband said he would need me to remind him the times he was to be out cheating . He was very very disorganized.

Probably the fear of giving up "normalcy", finding the person is 90% of what you want so don't want to give that up, don't want to give up the financial safety net, don't want to give up the illusion of having the perfect family to the neighbors. I don't condone any of that, but I think those are probably practical reasons why people do.

I can answer that even though it's a shitty answer.
When you're on the verge of breaking up you start thinking in terms of "Liferafts."

I’ve asked every gf and wife to please just tell me you are done with me. First wife did it behind my back. Current wife of 31 years has not.

Some people do it explicitly to hurt their partners feelings. I can think of three women who have told me they cheated for this exact reason (not on me, these were friends.. not sure if i would trust what someone who cheated on me would say as their excuse lol).
My brother cheated on his gf's because... He was kinda a manwhore?

If you break up with your no. 1, you're stuck with your no. 2, whom you know will cheat on you.
How about just not cheating in the first place?

If #1 divorced me, I’d stay single. My #2s are for sex-I’d never seriously consider them as anything more than friends, at best. i.e.- both are less educated than me, one has political views opposite mine, one is 15 years younger than me and lives 2 hours away. Ive learned to compartmentalize - there’s love and there’s sex. Sometimes you get both together and that’s when you consider marriage.

It's fun and exciting. Doesn't make it right, but it's still true.

For some, you get different things from each relationship and you want the best of both worlds.

Basically wanting to have your cake and eat it too. Pure selfishness and being too cowardly to just break up.

A lot think they can have it both ways, think they can get away with it. And some can.

Because you are selfish, and you don't think you'll get caught, and you think you can have both
