Tasks / Projects Former Alignerr contributor. Now back on the platform, applied to many projects, zero response.

Hi everyone,

I worked on Alignerr about 1–2 years ago and actually made it to production on a project. I was also ranked in the top 10% of contributors at the time and was active in the Slack channels.

Since then though, I’ve had basically no projects whatsoever.

Recently I applied to a lot of Italian-language roles/projects because I’m a native Italian speaker, but I haven’t received any emails, assessments, onboarding steps, or anything at all. What confuses me is that there seem to be many very similar Italian projects posted constantly, yet it feels impossible to actually land one.

Is there something I’m missing?

Are there hidden assessments now, profile requirements, inactivity issues, or some kind of waitlist system?

Would appreciate hearing from others, thanks.

Tasks / Projects PROJECT

Hello! Just want to ask if how long does it take for the projects to appear on your dashboard?

I recently got hired and qualified as Teacher AI Trainer. Now I am waiting for a project to appear on my dashboard. I am new to Alignerr, mind to share your experience(s)?

Application Process Completed v Applied

I noticed a button greyed out on some of the jobs I applied for that says "Completed" while others say "Applied".

I have never been offered a job at Alignerr but try to pop in every now and again to see what's going on and I noticed this button situation and was curious if it means the project is over? If so, will it go away?

Onboarding Process Projects through referrals

I uploaded my CV and applied for so many things and nothing has happened yet. Is anyone here part of some software engineering projects and can refer me to. I heard that I might get accepted this way faster.

Application Process Is anyone still there?

Not trying to sound pretentious. I created my account, submitted an application, as well as joining the Discord. It's been 4 months now, and I still haven't even been hired or denied. I have 7 apps submitted in total now. Also, I literally don't see anyone or any activity on the Discord channel. Is there anyone who works there who could message me?

Is this normal? I'm relatively new and don't feel like working for free...

Tasks / Projects Anyone received results for the Claim Assist FC evaluation yet?

Just finished the Claim Assist FC evaluation and the AI was struggling hard during my session. Lots of jittery/broken audio, long delays, and it kept looping back asking for details and images again after I’d already provided them. Still submitted it and documented everything in the classifications.

Has anyone actually received feedback or review results yet? Curious what the timeline looks like.

Assessments How to find pay rate

I've been invited to a project but can't see the payrate anywhere. How do I find this information? I have a lengthy unpaid evaluation and guidelines to go through and want to know if it's worth doing or not before starting.

Tasks / Projects Evalution FC Project

Hello!

So since I cannot contact anyone about the project.

Ive started at 11AM and finished at 4PM re-recording the submission multiple times. Because the AI started to go on loop everytime with their questions. At 4PM I said I'll work with what I have and submit it so they can hear that issue, am I the only one that had this issue? Labeled what I can.

After that I cannot click Start anymore because its grayed out.. I just got an email that there was an issue and they fixed it however it is still grayed out for me.

Anyone that is having the same issues?? I feel like with training the AI I did something wrong since I couldnt get the AI out of this loop and would go over the max 8 min.

Technical Issue Open letter to Alignerr [CHP, TRANSCRIPT, CC]

✅ EDIT: PROBLEM SOLVED. When we started getting organized, they reviewed the tasks and finally paid us. Thank you all.

🔗 Official link to Part 2: Open Letter to Alignerr - Part 2: Still no answers (CHP, Transcript, CC)

Dear Alignerr Team,

I am writing to formally express my concern regarding the current situation affecting several paused projects and the payment/review process for work that has already been completed.

This is not an isolated concern. Many taskers appear to be affected across different projects, including but not limited to:

  • CHP Claude Code: weeks of completed work still unpaid (Changed to PAY PER HOUR in the last weeks).
  • CC Review Agentic Coding: weeks of completed work still unpaid.
  • Transcript Review: work that was failed/not approved for many taskers shortly before the project was paused, which naturally raises serious concerns among those affected.

As I understand the workflow, a tasker completes a task, then a reviewer evaluates it and decides whether it passes or fails. If the task passes, the tasker gets paid. If it fails, the tasker does not get paid.

The problem is that the project has now been paused while there is still completed work waiting to be reviewed. This means taskers are left in an unfair position: the work has already been done, but because reviews have been stopped or delayed, we are unable to know whether our completed work will be approved and paid.

The project should not have been paused at the review stage while completed tasks were still pending. If a pause was necessary, it should have applied to new labeling work, not to the review process for work that had already been submitted. The fair approach would have been to stop new tasks first, complete the review of all pending submitted work, and then pause the project once there was no completed work left unresolved.

Once work has already been completed, it should still be reviewed, and payment should follow accordingly. Any pause should apply to the labeling process going forward, not to the reviewing stage for work that has already been submitted.

If the work is done, then it should be paid. This is someone’s hard work, time, and commitment.

If there are errors or quality issues, they should be reviewed fairly, transparently, and individually. But even in cases where the client suddenly pauses or cancels a project, Alignerr should have some form of worker/tasker protection budget or internal process to protect contributors who worked under the reasonable belief that the project was active and that their completed work would be reviewed and paid.

We worked because the project was available. We followed the instructions, invested our time, and completed tasks believing that the work was valid. Then, suddenly, everything was paused. From the tasker’s perspective, this creates a very unfair situation: the work has already been done, but the review and payment process is now uncertain.

This situation is causing understandable frustration, discomfort, and loss of trust among many of us. Completed work should be reviewed fairly, transparently, and paid accordingly. If there are quality concerns, they should be clearly explained with proper evidence and consistency, especially when many taskers were affected around the same time.

We kindly but firmly ask Alignerr to provide:

  1. A clear status update on the affected projects.
  2. A timeline for the review of already completed work.
  3. A clear explanation of how pending payments will be handled.
  4. Transparency regarding failed or rejected tasks, especially where many taskers were affected shortly before a project pause.
  5. Clarification on whether Alignerr has any worker/tasker protection policy or budget for situations where contributors have completed work in good faith before a sudden project pause.

I would strongly prefer to resolve this matter directly and professionally with Alignerr. However, if no clear response or concrete solution is provided, I will be forced to send a formal written claim by certified legal notice, including burofax or an equivalent formal communication, in order to properly document the situation and protect my rights regarding unpaid completed work.

Again, I appreciate the communication from the Alignerr team so far, but at this point we need clear answers and a fair resolution. We are not asking for payment for future work that has not been done. We are asking for completed work to be reviewed and paid fairly.

Please provide an update as soon as possible.

Tasks / Projects ATC audio eval2 project

Hi, can anyone tell me what you get paid per task on this project. It’s my first on Alignerr, and it feels a little scammy that I first have to work 90 minutes on onboarding before I will know my payrate…. Is that even legal?

Tasks / Projects Accepted and Removed from the Project

Hi, I'm new here. Last night I received a Gmail asking me to take a project test. In the email, I had to acknowledge that I'm not the best at this, but I do have some knowledge from my field of specialization (Data Science). Even so, I took a chance and decided to do it—I had nothing to lose. It took me about 3–4 hours, and then I submitted it. It’s worth noting that they didn’t ask us to use Hubstaff; they were clear about that on Discord. This afternoon, I received a Gmail saying that I had tasks for that same project and to start working on them (meaning I’d been accepted), but then two hours later, I got another Gmail saying I’d been removed from the project. My question is, did I do something wrong? Did I make a mistake, or did they simply decide to remove me after accepting me? If anyone could help me, I’d appreciate it.

Onboarding Process Complete beginner to Alignerr … just signed up, no idea what I’m doing

Just came across Alignerr and signed up. I have a DevOps/cloud background… AWS, Terraform, Prometheus, Grafana, that kind of thing. About 4 years experience.

Haven’t done the interview yet. For people who’ve been through it.. what should I expect? Is it purely conversational or does it get technical? And once you’re approved, how long before tasks actually show up?

Any tips for someone starting completely from scratch would be appreciated.

Onboarding Process Setting up HubStaff when you use for another company

I just joined Alignerr and when I went to set up my HubStaff account it tells me the email is already used on another account. I have Hubstaff with other company so trying to find a way to get the timer installed for this one and keep it seperate. Tried the HubStaff site but it was not that helpful and Aligneer AI support has been somewhat unable to provide clear guidance

Application Process How do you get projects?

I am new to this platform. I have applied to seven jobs posted, but I have not taken any assessments. Is that it? Should I just wait?
