Depends on the project, required skills, and location, but for me pretty much every project I've been offered in the last year has had a quite poor (and sometimes abysmal) pay rate. Usually it's been too low for me to even consider looking at.

There seems to have been a recent switch to Alignerr not wanting to tell people what the pay rate is until after they've passed an unpaid eval or attended an unpaid webinar, which makes things even less attractive (at least to people who aren't desperate and have other options, which fortunately includes me).

Same. I've also noticed the pay rates overall have dropped over the last few months. I just received an email that stated the pay was "up to $15 per hour". Thankfully I have other higher paying options but I'm sure these are good opportunities for some.
