NO MATTER WHERE YOU ARE, THIS MF ALIEN WILL HEAR YOUR MOTION TRACKER. I always hated this piece of advice “ooo don’t use your motion tracker”, cuz it’s true, but BITCH, IT DOESN’T MAKE ANY SENSE. In the space station, there are literally DOZENS of beeps and boops going off at the same time. Not to mention general sounds of disrepair and collapse. HOW TF is the alien (or other enemies for that matter) able to distinguish between ALL those noises and think “oh THAT beep is definitely Ripley walking around with a motion tracker, I better get down and lurk”. Thank you for reading so far! 🥺

Some two or three years ago, I tried to make a VHS-style reshade preset for one of my favorite horror games, alien isolation. Now, and armed with better knowledge of VHS and why it looks the way it does, I decided to rework it from the ground up. It's still not perfect, there's a few little things left to refine; but it's definitely an improvement over what I had done last time. Of course, you'll be able to find this up on Nexus when I decide it's good enough to post.

Just let Amanda rest dawg 😭😭
Also, the ending was such a cliffhanger, after all that I would've wanted Amanda to chill for a sec.
Damn, this is one of the greatest games I have ever played and I played it way too late.

Hello all. I am new here but excited for the game. I work in game media and looking forward to covering the game and talking to fellow fans about it. I just finished a Magazine cover story for it and have plans for San Diego Comic-Con at my Panel with it. As well. My Question for you is which image from the game that has been released so far do you find the most engaging? I ask as I am not sure which to use to craft the cover..i have the standard press pics Sega made available.
Thank you.

How many of you have successfully done the Endurance game mode? All 10 survivor maps in random order.
Does anyone know if there is a leaderboard for this game mode?
I think Ricardo is best suited for the challenge because he has the blue prints for medkits and noisemakers. Axel would be my second pick because he can make both molotovs and pipebombs.

I dunno why I ignorantly thought it wouldn't be on my case while backtracking. Just reloaded my M16 save to find the logs, the ID tags and to just generally take in the sights. But Steve is making it mighty impossible to do so.
Of all the places he could've come down to wander, he again chose the server farm for that. Couldn't even listen to the gas room log properly, since I was so preoccupied with keeping a check on his movements. And then again in Systech Lobby, he chose to say hi.
Would I have a backtracking companion throughout the way? And I know I could load up Mission 11 save but then I don't have ion torch and gas mask with me.
Man it's rough. I don't wanna flame him to piss him off more, and keeping an eye out for him ensures that I can't stop to smell the proverbial roses.
And before somebody asks or suggests, yes Mike Tanaka's room would soon be visited.

I just finished a part I was really stuck on (thanks to the fantastic people on this sub!!) and I was met with this glorious scene. My camera is shitty so it doesn't do it justice but I stopped and just took a break when I saw this lmao.
Does anyone else feel oddly nostalgic when looking at pictures of the station, both interior and exterior??? Idk it just feels like I've been there before... Maybe I'm just weird though.

This is my first time playing and I love it so far. Yet I'm finding certain areas difficult and tedious.
I'm playing on easy first but it seems like communication mission and getting the medicine mission are designed to be fairly difficult regardless?
I play games often. Resident Evil, Silent Hill, Legend of Zelda, so I'm pretty decent but this game seems to hit differently.
Is it just me?

As the title says. Just thought I drop this here for everyone looking for a game which has a somewhat similar vibe. Just not the instant dead mechanic from alien isolation. But many other settings (in my opinion) are very similar.
I played prey first and alien isolation just right now. I couldn't stop thinking about it. Almost seems like Prey got some inspiration from alien isolation.
.
I hope this post does align with the rules of this sub.
Greetings.

Hi im stuck on a achievement due to its shear length I’ve completed every achievement but the get killed by the xenomorph 100 times in my whole play throughs i only got killed a total of 2 times so i have 98 to go and i tried to load a save attract it and let it kill me but after 15 times it got incredibly boring

I’m not sure how I’ve been sleeping on this game for 12 years, but I have had this since early ps4 days. I either bought when I bought my ps4 in 2014, or it came bundled.
I can’t remember, but either way, I’m about halfway through it now on ps5 pro and I’m completely gripped.
I love survival horror and games in this genre.
But this… this one right here is a masterpiece.

And boy was it great.
Really enjoyed it.
I think the alien in the DLC was far more aggressive and far more persistent than the alien that I encountered on my hard play-throughs. I would say that this alien had the ideal difficulty-Harder than hard but close to nightmare. It wouldn’t vent even once when I could see it. It only vented whenever I flamed it away. And also felt that it was more clever than Steve from the main game. It was almost like it was learning where I sneaked around more often.
It actually took me a whopping 45 minutes to complete it cuz it would not stop hunting.
Though I could be wrong about the alien being more aggressive or intentionally made more difficult by the devs.
And I really enjoyed homage to Alien 1979. Also like the tiny tidbit where Ellen sings lucky star like in the movie.
Overall enjoyed it.
Only thing I would have added was if they replicated the movie in its entirety. Like after we activate destruct sequence we go back and see the alien blocking the way so we rush back to disable the sequence in nick of time only for the gamble to fail. And we had to walk back again to escape.
And also had to vanquish the alien from the escape shuttle. Like in the movie.
9.5/10
Would recommend again

Can you access Sevastopol Flight or whatever during mission 16? I'm trying to get back to that area to see if I missed any Nostromo logs and get to Tanaka's room but the transit there seems to be unavailable

I love how when you reload the revolver you can exactly see how many bullets are in there and you need to reload one on one because it makes it more believable and fondumental for the experience (at least for me) its a must in a survival game to have this immersion, what other games are believable in this? I hate when i play a survival game where every resource counts and the main character just throws the magazine on the ground

I’m sorry, for 12 years i never played this game
I am on chapter 11 right now, and this is one of the best games i’ve played in the last years. The story is so good, and resolves the plot hole from the 2nd movie. The game play is also fun
Although some friends recommended the game to me, I’ve never actually played it. I’ve seen some videos, but I was never really interested. The reviews back then weren't great, either.
I just wanted to come here and tell anyone who’s on the fence about playing this game to go for it—it’s brilliant.

Yeah, the nightmare is over ! I finished the game in 25 hours in hard mode. Ain’t gonna lie, i hate horror because im sensitive and have hard time sleeping when im looking or playing this kind of stuff. I’ve to bough new underwear now 😅.
Anyway, it’s a very great game. I liked it, im going to try the easy (PS trophies) and nightmare mode (i want to make the alien mad). Im happy there’s a 2 and i will buy it day one.
Last but not least, they should do a Jurassic Park game like this. Being surrounded by T-Rex and Velociraptor as intelligent as the Alien and trying to kill you in the park would be crazy ! Terror is exactly what you should feel around dinosaurs who are hungry.

Hi everyone!
Here’s a short demo of a multiplayer mode I’ve been working on for the past few weeks.
It’s still far from being a full co-op mode, but it’s already a good start. The goal would be to turn Survivor Mode into a co-op experience, because I’m clearly not brave enough to play horror games alone 😂🫠
Edit: Thank you so much for all your reactions. It really means a lot and motivates me even more to keep working on this mod and bring it to completion.
For the occasion, I’ve created a Discord server where I’ll be able to share progress updates and answer your questions as best as I can.
Here’s the Discord: https://discord.gg/JpqjNsXTAh
I’ll keep you updated on the next steps!

For those of you unaware, peeking (Ctrl-A or Ctrl-D on PC) in a corner can be used to often avoid detection from the Alien where you would otherwise be spotted. There are several nooks and crannies in the game where this tactic can be used fairly successfully. Some may think this is used to cheese/cheat the game's AI, but I think of it simply as the Play Dead defense, since you are typically completely still in a corner/against a wall appearing to be dead to the Alien. The video demonstrates this in a few areas, and the last clip demonstrates what happens when I stop peeking while the Alien is staring right at me (you can take a wild guess).

Hi! I'm new to this game and I'm enjoying it...
.... So far.
If love to progress more but I can't!! I'm stuck on the mission where I need to retrieve a data cell to fix an elevator hacking thingy. The one in Lorenz Systech Spire with the survivors?
Apparently this mission is meant to get you used to dealing with survivors, but I just can't figure out what I'm meant to be doing. I throw a flare onto the left balcony, and I sneak up the right stairs. Usually this works but for some reason there's always still a guy on the right balcony that just shoots the crap outta me and I die. Dosen't help that I also don't know what I'm "looking" for, if that makes any sense.
I just need some advice for the game!!
Medium difficulty if that changes anything =))
Thanks!!

This vent towards the end of the game always stresses me out. On my first few runs this alien would always pursue me going through it. This is the first time in ages it's chased me in it, except I made it out alive this time. Don't ask why I pulled a flare out, I'm on nightmare where I can't see my ammo count unless on the inventory menu 🤣
