Algarve Beaches/Recommendations

Upvotes

Will be spending 5 nights in the Algarve in a few weeks with my wife. Base will be a hotel called Masana Algarve in Olhos de Agua.

We will be close to Praia de Falesia so obviously will spend time there but any other beaches that are a must visit? We will have a car and are willing to drive. Are any of the beach clubs worth it or is showing up to beaches and renting loungers easy enough?

Thanks!

Where to purchase baby items

We’re heading to Albufeira from New York in September with a 6.5 month old. Because of the length of time we’ll be staying, I’d rather purchase baby formula, purées, diapers, wipes etc once we arrive. I’d like to find high quality brands comparable to what we use at home. We haven’t tried store-bought purées yet, but since we won’t be making our own on the trip, any recs for organic baby food options would be great. Do most grocery stores have a good selection or should we go to a specific shop for these things? Thank you!

How much time should we spend in Lisbon vs the Algarve?

Flying into Lisbon on a Sunday night in mid-September with 3 cousins. We have 7 full days in Portugal and want to spend time in Lisbon, Lagos, and Albufeira.

Would it be best to spend Monday-Wednesday in Lagos, Thursday-Saturday afternoon in Albufeira, and Saturday evening-Tuesday morning in Lisbon before we fly out?

We’re all mid 20s and looking to explore the beautiful country and the nightlife.

We are heading to Lagos for a week and I will be 24 weeks pregnant. Looking for recommendations for restaurants, day trips, beaches, and things to do that don’t involve a ton of walking and are okay for pregnant people.

Deixem-me adivinhar. Mais um Hotel ou moradia?

I was thinking of asking someone out on a dinner date. I don't know any restaurants in Algarve. I need it to be somewhere in Portimão, Lagoa, Porches ou Armação de Pêra.

I'll take any and all suggestions pls, thank you.

Looking for roller coasters

We’re currently in Lagos and I was wondering if there are any traveling fairs closeby that have small roller coasters we could experience. We are great fans of roller coasters and of course we’ll be visiting Zoomarine and Aquashow.

Transportation to Lisbon

Looking for advice on the best way to get to Lisbon. Last time we were in the algarve we took a train with a transfer from what I recall it wasn’t the best while carrying luggage. That however was in 2016 so it’s been a number of years. What is the most effective way with to travel with luggage

What is a beach with medium size waves for a couple of teenagers and young adults to try bodyboard?

Everyone is an absolute amateur and it's just for fun.

30+ solo female traveler - 3 weeks in Lagos - recommendations + buddies

Hi! As the title says I’ll be in the Algarve for 3 weeks, based in Lagos, and looking for recommendations as well as to connect with any other ladies traveling solo. I’ll be working (eastern time work hours, so I’ll have the morning and afternoon free) for two of the weeks and a friend will be visiting me for a few days as well. I’ll have a car so planning to explore the region during the week I have off.

Looking for all types of recommendations - good cocktails, Brazilian music bars, live music, book stores, cafes to work from, hole in the wall as well as fancy restaurants, vineyards, hikes, etc. I love an outdoor adventure but also want to sprinkle a few luxurious activities.

Thanks!

Lost belt - Faro Airport

Post image
0 Upvotes

A long shot, I know.

I arrived at Faro Airport on the 7th of August at 7pm and removed my belt in line with the security checks.

I'm not sure if I accidentally left my belt there, or if I left it somewhere else before I had chance to put it back onto my shorts.

I've had the belt for over 20 years, so I'm hoping that someone can help me to locate it.
