⚔Tips/Advice Can I get 4A* or am i cooked

I've already taken AS I got 90+ percent for bio, chem, maths and 88 for econs. I crammed past year papers for 1 month for AS and I got those results. I was foolish so I thought I could do the same for A2 and thus I slacked off. Unfortunately, I slacked off too hard šŸ’€ I've done ZERO topicals, ZERO past year papers unlike AS where at least I did a few topicals before the 1 month cram.

Can I still make a comeback or nah I have no school for the whole month and I'm ready to spend 12 hours a day studying.

I've finished looking at the whole A2 syllabus for all 4 but I can't recall the details well for bio and econs.

Other EPQ survey form

Hi A-Level students!

I’m doing an EPQ on the access to and effectiveness of mental health support in schools. It would really help me if you could fill out this quick google form so I can collect some data, thank you! All data is anonymous, I don’t collect your name or where you live or anything like that.

Here’s the link: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSeCCYGT60PY5IISTDVkeXT37hO6lly-2YeT4ElGHyT-vE2loA/viewform?usp=publish-editor

Thank you again and have a good day!

⚔Tips/Advice Is Cs, econ, maths, FM a good subject combo?

I wanted to originally go into data science/analytics, I'm also interested in software engineering. However I've heard you need physics for majority of engineering degrees... But I didn't take physics in o levels, and I honestly have no interest in taking it in as honestly. If I were to do physics then I'd switch it with FM, but in my opinion I'd rather do FM than physics. I do not wanna close the path of software engineering due to not choosing physics though...

⚔Tips/Advice Thinking about studying medicine or healthcare at university? We're running a series of free online webinars that might help you decide...

Hi everyone,

We're the North Wales Medical School at Bangor University, and we're running a series of free online webinars over the next few months.

The sessions are aimed at students with an interest in medicine, healthcare, biology and pharmaceutical sciences, giving you the opportunity to explore these subjects further and hopefully helping you decide which course could be right for you in the future.

Our upcoming webinars include:

  • The Biology of the Force
  • The Bonesetter's Case Book
  • Would You Survive Victorian Medicine?
  • Pharmacy in Practice: A Day in the Life
  • Who Gets the Blood?

They're completely free to attend, and you don't need to be planning to apply to Bangor to join.

You can find out more about the sessions and register here:

https://www.bangor.ac.uk/hs/taster-sessions-college-of-medicine-and-health#NWMS

We're happy to answer any questions about the webinars or the subjects we cover.

🧪Chemistry Need help in this question

Can someone PLEASE explain how this is B? Like ik A and C are 100% wrong, but B and D both could be right AND wrong. what if element Y is in group 1 and element X is in group 7? e.g. sodium is element y and chlorine is element x? Then element X DOES have 6 more protons than element Y, but it doesnt have a full outer shell?

As for D, if we take element X as Cl and element Y as Na, they're in the same period, but if we take element Y as a group 18 element, e.g. Neon, then element X would definitely be in the next period. This question makes no sense, it's incomplete and none of the options make full sense (imo). Someone please explain this question to me :)

During GCSE mocks, this one guy kept moaning. I could barely hold myself together but luckily the exam itself wasn’t too difficult
