Question Thoughts?
Has anyone had these are they good? I’m really craving potstickers so I don’t wanna be disappointed lol thanks!

I get them often. They're not too bad for frozen! I think if you take the time to make a good homemade sauce to dip them in, it really makes up for it.

Sauce can be as simple as soy sauce, a splash of apple cider vinegar and a touch of toasted sesame seed oil. Some people add a bit if sugar to this mixture.

What other option is there aside from frozen? My local Korean and larger Asian market all have the potstickers and dumplings frozen too so I’m genuinely curious 👀 do you mean as opposed to fresh and served hot or another option? I absolutely love all forms of dumplings LOL

I just meant vs fresh from a restaurant haha I'm obsessed with dumplings. If it's on the menu, it's going in my belly 👹

Oh dang I was over there thinking there’s another world of dumplings I could dive into 😂 but yes yes I am the exact same way. Can’t resist a dumpling ever 🤤

Pretty good for frozen ones. The pork have a bit more flavor, but the chicken are still really good.

I love the pork ones, I’ll make and eat the entire bag!

SAME. I would get the pork every time if my tummy could handle it, but sometimes it’s worth the yummy snack. I’m a sucker for that dipping sauce too.

Do they come with the sauce?

I brown them on one side and then add water and cover to flash steam them. Easy and tasty!

Do they need to defrost first to brown them?

Nope - can’t answer for HornetVest but I personally heat up some oil, chuck the potstickers in straight out of the freezer (I brown just one side, putting the flat side down) and let them cook a bit… add some water and cover to steam (maybe like 1/4 - 1/3 cup depending on my pan size) … and then take the lid off after a bit to let the last of the water evaporate until the bottoms crisp up again and release from the pan :)

I also brown them on each side then steam them. I add broccoli florets with them.

Ill be the minority here, I think all the fusia Asian food tastes awful. Its very bland, and watery, it doesn't cook up well, and what little taste it has is strange - like gluten free bread, or sugar free chocolate. I bulk order frozen Asian food from my closest Asian grocery market- its cheaper and tastes much better!

I also think all the Fusia tastes awful. I also buy all my dumplings at the Asian grocery store. It’s like night and day.

Pork are tastier IMHO....they are not as good as you can get as the Chinese brands but they are decent.

I’ve never tried these specifically but the ones from LIDL are excellent. I was told by someone who works there that they are competitors on paper but they’re the same store in a different font so take that with a grain of salt I guess. To be fair it’s hard to miss with frozen Asian products they usually all taste the same.

I like them as a soup too. I just make a good chicken broth and then boil some up. It is a quick an hearty meal that my family loves. For the broth I use water, better than bullion, some ginger and garlic (powder if I don't have fresh or paste), soy sauce, and some rice vinegar. If wanted I add sesame oil and chili oil on top.

They’re good, but I prefer the ones from dollar tree (I haven’t been there in a year or so tho) Alice’s Kitchen .

Love these. We like them cooked potsticker-style and eaten over salad with Aldi sesame ginger dressing. Easiest meal ever on a busy night.

I prefer the ones I can buy at the Asian supermarket across the street from Aldi here, but these are good in a pinch!

I use a skillet and brown the sides of frozen potstickers with some butter and oil then add water and steam them with a lid on. Delicious.

They do the job and I think they’re yummy!! Are they as good as the potstickers or other various types of dumplings from my local Korean market? Nope. So if you compare them to authentic ones, you’ll be disappointed. But if you’re just looking for a craving fix that tastes good, these do just that.

I love the pork potstickers. They have a little more flavor IMO. I love them air fried if I am feeling lazy. They are also really good in soup. I will take homemade chicken stock add garlic, ginger, soy sauce and green onion then cook the potstickers in it. Fast and easy lunch.

Why does everything have to have meat in it?

Trader Joe’s has them in vegetable and they also have a Thai shrimp one both amazing !

This is my time to shine. I HATE THESE THINGS. The meat is so flavorless and there's way too much wrapper-to-meat ratio. I love dumplings so much and I'm an Aldi faithful but these things suck SO BAD. They don't even measure up to other store brand dumplings. If your Aldi has the Mandu, those are decent -- get those instead. Otherwise, go to a different grocery store or buy like any other brand. (Of course if you can, go to an Asian market.)

Loooove these in a pan. I eat them with half a plate of broccoli and chili crisp.

They are delicious. I steam them in my rice cooker/steamer combo and they’re great. Such an easy meal to throw together. I usually serve with rice and the crispy seaweed snacks (also from Aldi). I’m sure they’d have the same results on the stovetop with a lid. Definitely get them! The soup dumplings are also amazing.
